I think the story is well as it is, because the LX guy is shown since the beginning as better in all aspects than ZZ, so is normal for him to overcome ZZ. I actually like the fact that things are not going according to the plans, usually life is not like that even for the powerful and rich. The fact that he has to struggle to be able to accomplish his goal of protecting her is something that makes the story richer and in a way shows that the author is not biased towards their lead character. The hardware enemy the best the story unfolds. And also the difference between ZZ and LX is that ZZ follows her plans and allows her freedom of choice and supports her whatever it is as long she is safe, but LX impose his desires on her without her saying whether it worked or not, he would be a kind of tyrant lover. ZZ knows what love is better than LX. It to blame though he is trying his best.

Dear author, i knew this is your story. Your own right. But why you make Zhang Zhehan too weak. What's the point you introduce him as someone powerful in earlier chapter when in actuality he seems like a rat? Sorry if i offended others with my words, it seems Zhehan like second male character. Set your mind which one is main character. Your novel one of my favourite but lately what you shown how weak Zhehan in protecting someone important in his life. Multiple times. Once is okay. Good luck for the next story development. I used to feel excited when i saw new updates but now I had to drop. Maybe it's not my liking but it's your right. Stay safe and healthy dear author. Bye2. ๐
Dear author @Anna_k, I have read a couple of comments where people didn't seem to like Zhehan's character, or rather his weakness and incapability in certain aspects. But I really love his character. I wanna state a few reasons for this. Firstly, every person has weaknesses and that what makes us human. His weakness makes him seem real instead of just a character in a novel. Secondly, not everyone is on a high alert at every moment, that's true for our characters as well, so we shouldn't expect perfection out of them. Instead we should try to enjoy their individuality and uniqueness. I have read a couple of contemporary chinese novels, where the male lead seems like the same guy in every novel, because they are just perfect, good looking, charming, cold and handsome plus some crazily super rich ceo. So yeah basically all these characters seem almost same. But Zhehan gives a real kinda feeling. Also, people criticizing Long Xun's stupidity must remember that the housekeeper has basically raised him up, so he's almost a parent and nobody generally doubts their parents!!
