Seriously... the author just pulls number out of his ass to make it sound big and it ends up being even bigger than it should... a kilo of gold is worth around 40,000 USD today, so he basically just picked up $800 billion if he sold all of it at market value... To further explain the ridiculousness of 20,000 tons in one bank, less than 200,000 tons of gold have been mined throughout history on Earth, so 10% of all Earth's production in one bank. The amount he found is also about 4 times as much as is speculated to be in Fort Knox... This vault had to have been ridiculously large as that much gold would take up a cube of 1014m on each side...
I didn't like why the mc laughed.... there are tons of reasons why he could laugh, but this one is wrong, kt should only have him be in a good mood and smile all the day instead he's becomming complacent, forgetting that if humans died of lack of air in the vault, humans survived in bunkers if he wasn't the mc it would cause his downfall
honestly he is just earning money for the sake of earning money, he has nothing to buy eith it , he will never want for anything , theres no real reason to keep it going , its just a selfish greed for more of something he doesn't need , he could let his family live a life of kings but he let's them keep working and works himself , not enjoying the wealth
