I know for Minerva it was a matter of pride and confidence, but if I was playing the same game and I think the other person has a good read on me, I'd find a way to randomly select rock, paper, or scissors. Then it's purely a game of chance..... of course, you have to come up with a method that is as close to random as possible, which isn't easy
