I think improvement but a slave to the system, did he forget who told him to break off his engagement with Rias. It's not that I like Rias much but it seems that it's a bit forced that it's Rias' fault. What Riser wants is a bit different from what he's saying and it's always assuming that Rias plans to manipulate him or everyone is out to get him. He should chill down a bit since technically there's no one left to kill him. He even got Vali's grandfather already.
