As a person who is always paranoid about accidentally loosing lugguge when using public transport like planes and buses it bothers me a lot that she so easily forgot all about hers. I mean, how do you not realise that you're suddenly missing not one but 2 bags when you're travelling between countries? Actually, she should have still been holding onto them since I don't understand how lightly bumping into someone can cause her to let go of both... I can get a shoulder strap slipping off her shoulder from the impact but then she should have adjusted it immediately afterwards. Unless she put them both down to scold him more effectively? Or did she inadvertently toss them both aside to make her escape faster? Sure you get absent-minded, scatterbrained people but this situation just doesn't make sense to me at all... Even if her momentary frustration at him and/or need to flee caused her to forget her luggage in that instant she should have at least realised something was missing before she left the airport.
