She was in the wrong in many ways the past few chapters but in this, I’m leaning towards her. He promised to take it slow and straight off the bat, he gets into serious jealous rages. The fact that she chose him should mean something. The arguing and then not talking just makes it worse.

I love this story for the fact that it feels very realistic in their relationship. When you have that kind of trauma forced on you it stains your life forever. Think of victims of r*pe, there are people that can't move on and decide to end their lives. Not only did she go through that, but also physical and mental abuse for a YEAR before she was stabbed. If that happened to me, I would have a hard time leaving my room, let alone thinking about trust and being in a relationship. Some voice would probably always be in my head sabotaging any thoughts I had of a future with that person. For the people that constantly bash this novel as slow or get fed up with the fl, go read a wham, bam, thank you ma'am novel somewhere else because you obviously don't want something realistic.

Do any of y'all understand wat to have a fear of relationship. Wen uve been in a toxic or abusive would u moved on or forget it so easily? Such relation lower ur self-esteem, lower de love for urself or others, its harder to trust other, nd u leave in constant fear of getting back in it. It make it easier for u to give up on any kinda of relationship cuz u trust nobody not even urself.

This novel maybe frustrating in some chapters because of the fl but I understand where she’s coming from. It’s not easy to heal a person with a terrible trauma, and in this case Xiao Ling have not just one but a whole lot of trauma. Yes, we’d want her to move on or act and say differently but that would be against her character and what she’d been through. It’s not easy for her to think and decide otherwise because of what she’d experienced. Frustrating but realistic. I can say that the author had done her research and put a lot of thoughts and effort to make this novel as realistic as it can be. 😊😊😊

After reading all these unreasonable things I am still waiting for nxt update eagerly. I can still understand her ridiculous argument . Am I idiot or what?

I know a line that is more fitting for a 8o'clock soap opera and that will summarize the whole chapter effortlessly "It's not you, it's me."
