Ok guys I'm super worried. In all the romance comics and books I read with this same idea of an abusive relationship (not normally this bad though) but anyways in a slightly domineering relationship. The MC usually gets back together with him and you find out the reasons, that he was abused or some other stuff. But for some weird reason I don't want it to go that way. I'm legit worried. He's a BAD guy! Like seriously bad. When I read the comic and saw her trapped in the cage I closed my eyes and scrolled. Like that is MESSED up. I can't cheer for her love. I mean, I REALLY can't cheer for it and I'm worried that like most romance chinese webnovels they're jst gonna have him do some nice things and she'll forget about this pain. BUT SERIOUSLY???! Its one thing with drugs (although not really) but a whole other thing with abuse like what she went through. Guys can someone just tell me if I should stop.

I don't think she loves him, but she was pushed to think that what she's feeling is love by the tortures she had have. She needs time to understeand it

Alright, I've had it with this b*llsh*t! Everyone's pitying Xia Ling and saying she needs time and resolve to get over the broken heart. But I'm just plain tried of seeing a self pitying narrative in every dang chapter after 20 chapters! Our mc girl needs to grow a pair (of courageous iron balls), after all she's been through there may be some lingering affection but I've seen no anger or hatred so far, considering how gruesome her life was towards her death. Any normal person would be pissed to a certain degree!

Pei Ziheng has yandere obsessions while, Xia Ling has stockholm syndrome what a wonderful combination *sarcasm*

I was in an abusive relationship in the past. I can understand how it feels to have fear ingrained in your soul. As I read Xia Ling's POV, I couldn't help but feel a shiver through my spine. The feeling of helplessness and dependency is so bad. I hope people in similar situations have enough courage to face their demons.

it would be better if Xia Ling will completely forget Pei Ziheng... it maybe difficult though cause more than half of her life was with him,, but of course it won't be impossible also

I feel that Pei Ziheng is only gentle to Xia Yu is because of Xia Ling... May be he feels regret a little... Maybe he really did love her to the point of obsession...
