Isn't it pretty much useless and detrimental to stay in the sect at this point? He is just making his cultivation take longer time by wasting time on useless things like assessments and sect politics. He can probably just rob the whole sect if he wants to, or if he got sentimental or something he can just go rob another sect. If he doesn't like robbing then he can just collect his own resources, which is still faster. This is what i don't like about it, if you are gonna make mc strong enough to take on even the sect master, then give me a legitimate reason for him to take the slow way? He can get more resources outside than inside the sect anyways. It would make sense if he wasn't strong enough, but by the way he boasts and talks he can handle a little sect master if he crosses the line eh? So what is the point of all of this? There is no struggle, it is like he is on a vacation and taking it easy even after he has a goal to strive for. What is the point of staying in this sect? What is the point of becoming an inner court disciple? Sigh...
