This was a concious decision based on the fact that at the time, I was often confused by the levelling systems in cultivation novels and also to simplify it (at least in my own mind). It proceeded to develop and get a bit more complicated as things went on. So now, primary, secondary and tertiary levels are core formation, a core will form as the cultivator enters quartenary stage. Quaternary, Quinary and Senary levels are body tempering stage, developing the physical body of the cultivator, ege strength, reflexes, next three are mind tempering stage, developing the brain, eg swiftness of thought, memory. Last three are soul/spirit tempering stage in order to become a true immortal. Things may adapt again in the future x
