Yay, damn good chapters, I hope 2020 will be a good year for daneel and his sovereigns and all of us poor souls, who like good literature, Appreciate that
The power rankings drop is not surprising, it is just a product of slower chapter updates, there is no problem with the quality just the quantity. But it's the author's prerogative of how many chapters he is comfortable releasing that doesn't effect his daily life. I am following one other novel whose release frequency changed from 1 chapter per 1 day to 1 chapter every 4 day. Even though the quality is as excellent as it always was it power rankings took a hit as well.
Where is this going to go? Is she going to ask for mercy because of her relation to the traitor or is she going to silently expect Daneel to give mercy. This could put Daneel in a very awkward position if not handled right. I understand their traitors but its also important to understand why they become traitors in the first place. The overall power system of the continent was F'ed before Daneel got her and even now its still not perfect so someone becoming a traitor because they just dont see a way out is reasonable especially with how the Church recruits people. Then after being recruited they realize "Oh these Church people are nuts and want to murder everyone I care about but I cant say or do anything because I made 20 oaths saying I cant." A good portion of them are probably like that Daneel needs to see that and act accordingly. I am not sure if Xuan's grandmother is but I hope for Xuan's mental state she is.
