so We get no whiff of this quantum computer and then suddenly the MC is like "Oh if only if I have this ex machina" and then the ex machina appears. Instead of just following him over

"Construct a Spell Model and imprint the Spell Model into one's mind using Mind Power. This was the same as simulating a Spell Model in the mind using Mind Power." People Die if they are Killed... Soooo much redundancy in this chapter just to push back what we came here for: "Will you like to initiate the Matrix?" About time! I wonder why this magical device followed our MC when he was just hit by an everyday car, not blown up in a Hadron Collider or electrocuted by his PC...

Let me guess, after this he is going to make the uninspired choice of beginning with the fireball spell, but because of the "Matrix" it will be loads better than his teacher's... Pretty stock if you ask me. Author would have been much better to reference this technology in the beginning. A sudden info dump with no prior warning or idea that such a thing existed, throws you waaaay off.

Is it just me or the line "Will you like to initiate the Matrix..." just sounds awkward or incorrect?

This is probably one of the worst ways to introduce a chip or "matrix" to your story. Seriously, he could have thought about it in the nobles class already without thinking of its name specifically so its existence could have already been introduced.

Ugh, I was liking the building of the character without the AI. I still want the materix to exist in the story and to see how they will change, but couldn't it have some reason other than literal wish fulfillment?
