so Odin finally gets free, being more plot relevant than simply showing how the Demon Ancient's followers work

I feel this might bring an insight to how Anthony can also shake control of the pull of the Ancients on himself. Anthony needs a similar kind of stimulus just like Odin or a skill, maybe he can use the Alter with the will of the colony as backup to fight the Ancients hold on him. It would be a clash of wills.

god i hope the build up in the story is leading to anthony killing a tier 8-9 demon in front of so many people the pov gets ridiculous. The last time he pumped a lot of mana into the gravity bomb he quit early and it took a chunk out of a mountain in the 4th strata so imagine if anthony pumped every drop of mana into the bomb enhanced by the altar? I hope this happens to a tier 9 (like one of the tier 8s evolves) and the event is so extreme that even the legion just stop chasing the ants. What could be even more freakish? if one of the 3rd strata pillars was physically damaged by the bomb.
