So, we have the surface level and first strata base camp/expansion nests. Everything here seems well tended and no need to worry about it. Then we have the second strata where a stronghold has been built and the large clumping of ants above (Main plus satellite nests) can all funnel down into. I feel like this area too can be expanded eventually...but only in conjunction with what is happening below. In the thirds strata we have a demon city or two, with maybe more coming. Also, disregarding this 4th strata defensive war, the third strata and its cities are the spear head of true expansion for the colony. It is here that wars will be waged and maybe most importantly, where the tier 4 and 5 ants become tier 5 and 6. Maybe even 7 for those like Antony and the council. So this leaves me wondering, are we going to have an extended arc here in the 4th strata? Or will this be rapid assault, meat grinder defenses, and then back to 3rd for further expansion and laying down solid foundations. As much as I love the termite battle idea, I really love the base building/kingdom building aspect even more! For me, I hope they move past this in 20ish to 30ish chapters and then get back to owning demons and lizard hide!
So the fourth strata has "the life element" as a theme,the third is fire đ„& ash,the second is shadow and frost (or poison),first is just physical (like in games just blunt force damage),we know that the sixth or seventh is death đ & decay.I wonder if there's a space& gravity themed strata. I have a feeling that all the ancients are specialized in a field of they own, and since they need another ancient to (kinda bring stability to the planet core?!?) Anthony with his gravity magic is more than qualified to be the twelfth. I'm just spiting out theories here,do help with your opinions!
