Hardworking ants are merchants nemesis, also ants keep spoiling there people as a "fair" tribute of their work. I'm curious if Al and Granin spoke to each other I mean Al WOULD keenly interested by Granin's knowledge about monsters

I can almost imagine the first merchant nearly threatening war, when a monster ant just peacefully passes by carrying a ton. Yeah, commerce or war, an unending number of ants will do the trick.
the merchants are going to be just that... Merch-Ants!! they can not stop the might of the colony. So probably are going to sell in the future merchandise of them and get tons of money.
