Great chapter. And I didn't even question the idea to go all the way to the third strata. I guess I'm too used to Anthony and I miss the old days a bit. Just being watchdog in front of the door seems boring.

The evolution to Anthony's special bits definitely made the ants more devoted to him. So the council has already caught on that the Eldest isn't as perfect as they thought, but who will find out next? Also Sloan, what do you expect? Of course he was going to push to the third strata. I didn't think about it till it was mentioned but a new generation of ants are born every couple days at most so most of the colony never even saw Anthony b4. Also kinda explains the reverence that the historians had when they recorded things down cause on the council of 20 and the queen really know about Anthony's quirks.

Haha just what I expected from a planning(office) general and a bone tired person from the front line. Shock, curiosity, short conversation and finally... eww what's that smell.

Realistically why would they push all members to higher tiers? Most of the jobs they do it is unnecessary, a few of higher tier should suffice. Researchers and combat caste should be the priority, even there couple thousand should suffice, if the opportunity arise then push for more.
