Although these fights are good, I hope it won't last for more than 100 chapters since it starts to get tiring already.
I would like to see a twist in this war arc, the actual reason for the war is the stupidity of the other Sapient races that don't want to aknwoledge that a long-hated enemy of theirs now has the same mental habilities and rights as they have. The just treat them like monster even tho they have an actual society, language and developing culture (even if that last part is not known now). If you think about it maybe this is an actual metaphor that humans fall into content and they lose critical thinking when they believe they are right over anything else. To the Legion exterminating everything worked just fine for thousands of years they don't even try to change their ways. The Legions are the traditional society mindset and the ants and their allies are the new-way more progressive mindset. A very nice representation of our actual society.
While I find the war quite interasting, it's really hard to understand who is winning, we know that the legion is advancing faster than the golgari, that the colony is able to stall, but it's hard to understand what is going on, for what I understood the legion lost 17 units, 2 from the gravity bomb and 15 to tiny charge. If it is as such its a one sided beating, they are getting tired, yes, but for what for? Another legion is on the way. The situation is similar on the golgari side, but at least they are suffering losses 10 or 20 golgari every 100 ants. From how the legion seems way stronger than the colony should they be already be done with the first nest?
I love the heads up on the strata divisions, 1 is plain, 2 is death (not dark?!?), 3 is hellfire but others chaotically, 4 seems like 1 but beefed up, 5 seems like a beefed up 2, but 5 used to be something else apparently... I wonder if strata 6 has some other sentient species like strata 3, but it's not well known due to the number of deaths that happened at their hands, also leading to the clamp down of information...
