I may have been a little biased since I was born in Kerala. But the population is a serious boon.

Actually, India is not a good choice at all when compared to Mexico. India is a nuclear power nation. Obviously, America and many powerful nations include China been keeping close eyes on India. Compare to Mexico, I would say America would be more careful if new power arises in India because that new power also controls nuclear weapons. They would check in details to see if new power have stable mind enough to have control of nuclear weapon(they do not want another North Korea). While, if Michael develops his power in Mexico, American government might take it as new mafia boss in town and pay less attention to it(compare to India case). By the time the American government knows what is going on, Michael should already stabilize his power then. If he does it in India, not only American will do a deep investigation on him, many other powerful nations would do so too, especially China(they used to have border fight with each other and still at each other neck). From the get-go, he won't have peace there. This is my point of view, as a reader, after reading this chapter.

so many problems, the best thing would not be to buy a big island, and there is build your company ?, there is tax free (I think), and you can also develop virtual reality, without the country asking you to give information on how it did , or military weaponry, etc., buy an island, and have your headquarters of your company there.

I love how realistic the MC's personality and actions are, especially since most novels the MC gets a lot of power then decided to become a hero and it really annoys me after all they are human and humans are innately selfish.

I think going after military veterans that had some time of diesease like cancer or something life threatening that would take loads of money that they themselves could never get, would be a perfect type of loyalist to get also.

I would agree that the fact that India is a nuclear power could draw attention...; however, you underestimate the sheer size of India's population. There are vast areas where there is little to no beuaracratic input and it is easy to hide among billions of people. Thus, if one is cautious, it is actually probably easier to avoid detection in India than in Mexico.

Nooffense. Since author try to be realistic, why dont recruit the vet from state ? Bcs i think in future ,mc will hve problem in eroupe and states, it will be weird to have indian army. Imo

i think starting in south america would have been best, brazil has the population and geography to carry out the beginning stages and its likely not as watched as venezuela (oil & powderkeg) or mexico(bordering nationstate)

My only frustration with this is, "WHY isn't he upgrading his loyal followers who've already proven that they'd work hard for him and turn them into his Generals in the industries that they're good at?" They could Lead their industries even better with the skills that he could provide AND they'd become even MORE loyal to him due to his obvious Trust in them by showing them his secrets AND his Belief in their capabilities because he's willing to INVEST so much more into them... He has 10 spots available, and having an Elite team of 5 that could even be called "The Hand" or even his "Right Hand" would be awesome. He would them be able to have 5 powerhouses that would lead his business enterprises and Another 5 who would be his protective hand or hidden hand of justice... just saying... But if this happens later, that could work out too... But I'm biased towards growing home base while protecting oneself.
