To be honest, this is the most interesting novel I have read in my whole life. These twists and turns, mysteries and the unique way of cultivation made me yearn for every new chapter. And..... That's the end of my speech. Lets read vol. 7, shall we?
At the end of volume 6 author summarized it, I will put a translation here but this is not a direct translate. This volume has 116 chapters a bit short but it met with author’s criteria. At the end of volume 5 author said the climax will be in volume 6. Author really enjoyed his story when the plot progressed to Amon said Chernobyl and Colin said Omebella has dead long time ago. One at the start of volume and one at the end of volume, everything has been long planned even from volume 1. When he wrote the first chapter “Crimson”, the city of silver, the curse, he has this inspiration then he wrote the harvest church, Emlin White, there were hints given but not that obvious. Around these two climax points, author revealed many secrets and whole world structure and settings are almost complete. Next volume he will expand knowledge of the great old one, alien/foreign gods and the family of ancient sun god. Back to volume 6 the author wants to express 3 things, 1st the impact of two climax point 2nd in front of the gods, human are so weak and helpless, 3rd even human as weak as a moth, they will still chasing the light. When writing this volume author doesn’t want focus on frontline battle scene, maybe battleship, guns and cannon can bring something new but this is not the main focus point. The story has already progressed to king of angel and gods fight, shift it to normal human battle will make it strange. In consider of this author put the focus on the crowd, their perplex, emotionless, confusion… and author use Audrey’s growth and her spectator view to portray normal people and their lives under the war. At the end when Audrey arrived home and sighed that normal citizen, nobles or even demi god as herself don’t know why they live and die, this is good enough to describe how powerless they are…very heavy theme. Another thing is author doesn’t want Klein to explore the world, even he has very detailed setting for all other countries, he doesn’t want the book too long and fat, he only wants focus on one country and write as much features and details about it. The world structure and settings are complete so he doesn’t need to expand every part world map in this story. He plans to write 2nd book or 3rd book using these countries, organizations or even west continent to complete the world of Lord of Mystery. He has some ideas such as an old noble member lost memory in an accident then found by the church of knowledge then everyday’s duties are finish homeworks and tests… a low level hunter path person under the guidance of Saint Daniz to grow up and fight red angel… the 3rd book can happen on the west continent with eastern culture style, this is just an idea author won’t confirm he will write the 3rd book yet. At the last the next volume name is The hanged man.
HOLLY SH*T Adam has just became a God and he was in league with the 2 Goddesses. That why he helped Klein and didn't kill him when he tried mingling in his affairs (when Klein killed Leon's king) And it totally explains Lilith intrest in the Tarot club, the attitude of the churches (Earth mother and evernight) towards the sanguines and why omebella's name doesn't evoke anything when used in the forsaken lands. Best novel ever.
thx for chapter now that a twist for sure... so Omobella already died ages ago and Lilith is the one masquerading as her?? no wonder this church love to recruit vamp*ehem* Sanguine into the church.. rip God of Combat u got duped really hard to start the war just to die at end of it.. i bet the "priest" that swallow the potion is Adam.. still hate him for using war to advance when clearly his ascension ritual is not like Red Priest who need to start war all over continent aii.. still feel sad for Colin well at least he died without any grief coz he already succeed to release City of Silver resident
I need a minute to take a sit after this one. It occurs to me that this was probably Cuttlefish’s intention for only describing and not naming the gods for these past few chapters. I got more answers than I bargained for and a few new puzzling questions but that can be saved for later. Right now I want to see the world react to both the end of the war and Klein suddenly introducing two considerably large combat experienced groups of beyonders to the world under the Fool’s faith.
What a chapter! So many secrets revealed, so much happend. A God dies, Adam advances, Lilith alive and Earth mother dead (wtf?!), true form of Amanises, City of Silver secret, war ending, door opens, ... And that last scene with Derrick opening these door got me completely. Man, Colin is like Moses, leading his people to the Promised Land but not allowed to go in there himself, only to see it in his last breath. Short: I'm speechless
So Omebella has always been an Angel. I suspect at some point in time, perhaps when the moon got taken over by an outer god, Lilith was forced to change to the planter pathway in order not to be corrupted. Maybe at that time she made a trade using her own moon uniqness with Evernight for the planter uniqness and had a deal to trade it back with one uniqueness that Evernight needs eventually. Evernight being able to conceal probably helps resist the corruption from that outer god much better than Lilith. Now Lilith just got to trade back her original moon uniqness. So on this front, both Lilith and Evernight just needs their sefriot to ascend? Considering the title of the next book, I expect it would be about the True Creator attempting to deal with the traitors and secure more of his pathway (will he eventually have to deal with Adam too to ascend?), he already sort of have the sefriot too. Leftover unsecured(?) pathways is Demoness group, Black emperor group (fingers crossed for Roselle), Fate, Savant group, mutant group and Seer group. Also that one sefriot bound to the lamp guy (cough it back out you sucker).
So what is the City of Silver going to do with the Gift of the Land Sealed Artifact now? If they bring it with them to the outside world then they'd have to continue killing their own family members lest they turn into evil spirits. They should just sacrifice it to The Fool after stocking up on food since they wouldn't need it anymore when they finally escape the Forsaken Land of the Gods.
Alright… I’ve got another hair-brained theory. So what if the deal with all the various Sefirots is that they exist to mitigate the corruption caused by the Original Creator/the Oldest One. My theory now is that in order to fight of whatever the apocalypse is about to bring each of the Sefirots will have be to controlled by a different individual in order to prevent the full affect of the corruption from the Original Creator. Klein obviously has Sefirah Castle, the True Creator is after the Chaos Sea obviously, the Evernight Goddess is after whichever Sefirot is connected to “Her’s” and the Death’s pathway and Lilith is probably after the Brood Mother Sefirot which most likely contains the Moon and Planter pathways. Amon and Adam probably know waaaay more than that let on so their “roles” could potentially be to to take over any unoccupied Sefirots based on the unique abilities of their pathways. It’s been shown that Amon under the right circumstances can “steal” the authority of Sefirot with both Klein and the Chaos Sea and from what we understand of the seq.1 & 0 of the Spector pathway Adam could “write” in a situation where he come in control of a different one. I know that probably do end account for all of them but 😑 I’ll figure the rest out as the info is provided.
