There are so many players in this fight it's hard to keep motivations and scheme straight. So we got; Ince - again trying to engineer the descent of a evil deity for whatever reason. Demoness sect - pretty obvious, they want their goddess or at least an fragment of her to descent. Aurora order - on board because this is some twisted publicity stunt them. Loen royal family - some sort of false flag operation to start a war? The 3rd prince seemed to be the patsy. Guess a off branch because the royals whom count Hall interacted with seemed more interested in internal infrastructure then anything else. Guy in gold mask - who the heck is this guy? He seem to be an arbiter so probably the same guy who showed up at Capim's place and dealing with Xio. Maybe there are traitors amongst the Kingdom's intelligence service and the royal family are.getting hoodwinked.

That was one intense battle. This is how action scenes are meant to be written! And the end of this chapter.... Wtf... I was not expecting that. I kind of wonder if that woman might actually be an avatar of the Evernight Goddess. Perhaps she's gone mad with symptoms of catatonia rather than lunacy. This might explain why she doesn't answer her followers' prayers.

I wonder if that woman is an avatar of the Evernight Goddess or an angel, sequence 2 of the sequence line the goddess is in charge of, sleepless pathway ( coz we know that as long as a god is present, there cannot be a sequence 1 of a pathway). She appeared right in the nick of time to save Klein. The royal family was definitely in cahoots in this conspiracy... they are the ones covering for Ince Zingwel, probably the ones who kidnapped the slaves from the southern continent, and provided mid sequence beyonders to Capim. Even now the 3rd prince committed suicide with a bullet that erases spirituality to hide secrets of the family. Some big scheme is really afoot with those big players

Wait Mr.A and Miss Pleasure aren't dead. Didn't the church confirm that those who disappear are still alive? What if they're trapped somewhere in the spirit world. Or maybe some other sort of domain.

Man the Churches are gonna be so pissed with Loen's royalty now that it comes to light that parts of it conspires with Ince Zangwill ( there goes the Evernight Church), the Aurora Order and the Demoness Sect.

Huh. That is some scary angel. But that smile tho. 😅 One day the seven Orthodox Churches will gonna wake up and find that all their sealed artifacts are no longer theirs to control - the sentient ones that is.

I had this super brain freeze and wondered who this mysterious person was... Then it suddenly struck me and I felt truly stupid. Of course it's the angel that they wanted help from, the one without emotions, feelings or proper sentience of her own. Now then, why would such a figure smile at the mc? Well, it's obviously because he's the fool, but what about that fact? Hmmm...

What an amazing action sequence, the last few chapters have been hectic to read. I'm going to need to go back and go through it again to make sense of it all. Else, 0-08 is useless without someone controlling it if Ince Z. can prepare for most of its "writing" by wearing multiple pair of pants and having different artifacts to survive through its ordeals.

I didn't think it's possible to write an action chapter this short but interesting.....it's great...but I hate the cliff hanger

I'm gonna go out on a limb and set aside the likeness of the statues in that underground ruin. If his spirituality doesn't ping, then he'd be dead or something. He does have experience in staring at one of the 7 orthodox gods right in the face.
