Ok, I edited this for you. Part 1 of 2: “My lord! If we keep going like this, our people will starve to death before the end of winter!” Shouted an old man with white hair. He was Ribeiro Feis, the assistant to the lord of this forgotten city, Wasteland Valley. He would not have come here, even in his nightmares, but unfortunately for him the orders from His Majesty William Lockheart were absolute. “I know.” Answered a tired voice. The voice belonged to the lord of this valley, Alfonso Lockheart, the 5th son of the King, William Lockheart. Alfonso was a prince - or, to be more accurate, a former prince. He was the failure of his family; neither as intelligent as his brothers and sister nor blessed by the “gift” of any God. The event that would come to mark his life happened three months ago. He had been tasked with leading 1000 men to take a gold mine; the result was a disaster. 900 men died in combat and he became injured in his right leg, forcing him to use a cane. His title of Prince was removed until he could prove his worth with a task from his father: bring Wasteland Valley back to life. When the other Princes and Princess heard the news, they knew that their brother was a lost cause. 100 years ago, Wasteland Valley was a city on par with the Capital of Leitol; under the protection of its guardian God, the lands were fertile and the men were strong. However, everything changed when the God died in the last war. From there, the city began to deteriorate, the land became barren and the once powerful army of men became weak. Situated at the northern border to Leitol, one year ago, Wasteland Valley finally lost its status as a city because it failed to pay its tributes to the Kingdom. Without this status, the valley lost the protection of the monarchy and was left on their own to defend from the beasts of Jubial forest to their North. The last lord of Wasteland Valley had died defending against the beast hordes in their last attack. When Alfonso arrived, he knew this land would be his grave. An inexperienced leader who didn’t know how to manage a city, he made mistake after mistake and the land became even more inhospitable. This morning he had decided to take his own life - better to drink poison than die of hunger. And so Alfonso drank his poison and passed out, sure he would die. A short time later, though, something happened - he woke up. Unsure of what was happening, he looked around, lost. It was no longer Prince Alfonso, failure of the Lockhearts inhabiting his body; it was Alfonso Miller, a historian who specialized in ancient civilizations. After screaming and denying reality for a few minutes, Alfonso became resigned to his fate - he had indeed transmigrated into the body of a Prince - the memories he now had proved it.What a disaster - filled with despair, he cursed to himself: “You have GOT to be fucking kidding me! I had a happy life on Earth! Why the **** am I here? How did this happen?” Soon Ribeiro entered the room and briefed him on the situation of the lands. “My Lord, are you hearing me?!? If we don’t do something soon, our people will starve!” Ribeiro repeated. “I know. Ribeiro, tell me; with the provisions we have, how long can we survive here?” Asked Alfonso. “If we are optimistic and ration so that people eat the minimum to survive, we’d still be lucky to last a month.” replied the advisor. Alfonso gave a long sigh and stood up from his throne. “Ribeiro, take the food we have in my personal storage and add that. With that amount of food, we should be able to extend our lives for another few days.” Ribeiro’s face could not help but express his surprise - was this the same selfish prince? “But...My Lord, your food-” Alfonso cut him off. “It doesn’t matter. Do as I say. I am tired and I am going to rest for a bit; we will talk later.” Not waiting for a reply, Alfonso left for his chambers.
Part 2 of 2: Sure enough, this isn’t Earth. Alfonso thought. “What am I supposed to do now?” He asked, face full of bitterness. Just then, a sound woke him from his self-pity. [Ding!
