I can’t wait for Gloriana to get caught up in a tribulation with him and have her implant crystals fuse into her nervous system. Also, the connection between Ves’ research with crystals and her impant didn’t escape my notice. 🧐 I was actually thinking while reading this chapter that they need a way for “older” mechs to upgrade to new models (provided they’re not designed to do so) without losing any of their spiritual growth, and I realized that Ves could probably create a Crystal Core that would be used the same way as his Gems. Then I realized I was essentially imagining Energon from Transformers 🤣

So how long until Ves realizes he can already give the Transhumanists what they want?? He did it like 1000 chaps ago, with Jannzi's new machine!! The only difference is Ves wouldn't be using a gem containing someone's spirit this time. He'd be ripping the spirits fresh out of all those aged meatbags!!
