ANNOUNCEMENT: ALIEN RACE CONTEST! The Mech Touch has surpassed 5000 chapters! This means that I am holding another contest! Contest Rules Design an original alien race that will play an important part in the story going forward. This alien race may be based in the Red Ocean or another galaxy. DO NOT USE THE MILKY WAY. Try to be original and unconventional when designing the alien race. It can have a hostile, neutral or friendly inclination towards the human race. You can invent all kinds of cultures and history for them, and they may master unique and unusual technologies that may be of use to humans. The alien races will mainly be evaluated according to the following criteria: Fit, Originality, Flavor and Excess. Point System You must quantify the performance of your entry by allocating 10 points in the following categories: Strength (?/10) Metaphysics (?/10) Quantity (?/10) Technology (?/10) The description of the alien race must match your point allocation. If not, your submission will be disqualified. The minimum point for a category is 0. 2 to 3 points is average. 4 is good. 5 is excellent. 6 is extreme. Here is an example entry: Name: Conehead race Galaxy: Red Ocean Strength: 3 Metaphysics: 0 Quantity: 2 Technology: 5 Description: The conehead race is an old and declining bipedal alien species of the Red Ocean. They resemble humans but feature exaggerated conal heads which makes them incredibly smart on average. They are natural scientists and engineers and their technology rivals that of the puelmer race. They have built fairly strong warfleets but show no ability at all to become phase lords, hence why they are treated as cursed outcasts by the other major alien races. The coneheads hate humans and want to wipe them all out. This is because the coneheads mistake humans as degenerated and extremely stupid short-headed descendants of their race. IMPORTANT! -DO NOT PLAGIARIZE OTHER ANIMES, BOOKS, TV SHOWS OR MOVIES! -AI-generated entries are permissible as I do not care how you have written your submission. SUBMISSION DETAILS This contest will run until 18:00 CET July 16, 2023. You can submit 1 unique alien race at the #event-submissions channel on The Mech Touch's Unofficial Discord server. SELECTION On July 16 21:00 CET I will discuss this contest and choose the winner live on TMT's Unofficial Discord Server. I will select 1 winning submission through selection and determining 1 submission through a random lottery.
So I assume this move drove a thick wedge between the Milky Way and the Red Ocean. Nobody in either galaxy can just conveniently pass through a portal anymore. MTA and CFA warfleets out on the frontlines are effectively cut off from any supplies or reinforcements they might've been expecting from the old galaxy! For the foreseeable future, hordes of ambitious pioneers and several of the Big Two's battle groups will have to fend for themselves deep behind enemy lines!!
