I get the feeling that Ves's "candy enhanced" 2.0 intelligence doesn't have the same qualitative function as a "natural" 2.0 intelligence. People have to give him obvious implementations of his ideas way too often. To be fair - people don't need to actually explain things to Ves much and he figures out "how" to do the thing with speed appropriate to his stats. But the multi-level "putting peices together" aspect of extreme intelligence seems to be missing.
