The whole time he was just acting crazy, maybe a small part of him did become unhinged. I was convinced he was a mad scientist, what an enjoyable twist. I did have a problem for the longest time that he became seemingly more civil out of nowhere with no reason. Now it makes sense. Good writing.

This glimpse into Skully's past just reinforced my prediction of how Tristan's meeting will end. It'll be a compromise wherein the Hexers will focus their hostilities on just the Gauge (and maybe Konsu) colonies, giving the poorer weaker partners the reprieve they want. Ves will get the Hexers to play along by reminding them that it was largely the Gaugers' fault they lost the war. He'll say the other partners were practically punching bags in the war, and could be dealt with later on.

I guess he also lost his name.

i like how the real story subverts our previous perception that he was a mass murderer and it turns out he was very respectful to the person he used in his experiment and essentially he was just like ves in that he was cut off and left to defend himself

Exlor is a master of world building and an amazing story teller. It's chapters like these that make us stick with this series 4000+ chapters in. Brilliant job mate 👏 👍
