I really like the recent developments. Interactions with aliens, rights of living mechs, potential future mechs and the current exploration are all really fun and exciting. The only problem is the lack of details in some cases which is most likely attributed to the author just not being able to give them. Detailed explanation on mech engineering and futuristic sciences is obviously very hard to describe since they don't exist etc.
