Is the spirituality of the phase whale still alive? If yes, will it try to possess Ves? Then mess up his body with superior biotech, then the Metal Scroll comes back to kick the whale out. Jutland organ + phasewater. Also phasewater is also called godblood, and phase whales integrate phasewater into their bodies. So are the whales the gods? Or is it something else? Do the aliens worship phase whales? Do the phase whales worship the skeleton? A phase whale getting greedy for Alyshr energy might happen. Would synergise with phasewater probably. Ves might even benefit off all of it. Skeleton could be the progenitor or an early phase whale, so could be deified. Wonder what the phase whale bones can do. Store spiritual energy? = prime mech galore.
Trust the MTA to offer rip-off rewards and make it sound like you should be grateful. There are 2 key problems with what Jovy said. First off, the GSA isn't actually getting 10% of the carcass itself, just a piece of whatever they manage to extract themselves!! Basically, just think of it like the huge gap between Revenue and Net Income. So they'll really only have about 2% of this thing when this is over!! And last but not least, the finder's fee was given in Merits rather than Credits!! Given the GSA's current circumstances, I'd say it's best for them to prioritize short-term gains over long-term ones. In that sense, they would've been much better off getting 6M Credits than 15M Merits!!!
15M MTA credits divided in the GCA means he can upgrade everything and then some. Better autofabs. better mechs reactors and shields. its a huuuge boon too. if he gets 5% of the bones as part of the loot he can upgrade all the expert mechs again. And provide superior mechs for his candidates as well.
