Hmm... why doesn't the clan put their money where their mouth is and use the Apprentices (and Novices) to custom fit all their mechs? They have thousands of pilots after all. True, they are currently a touch short on hulls... but that won't last forever. (Expecially because ships are an obvious bribe to any MTA faction that wishes to get something from Ves)
