Well let logic is good and sound, the Larkinsons already have offence oriented expert pilots, defence oriented expert pilot all paired with their corresponding mechs, now time for a true commander of the battlefield. The Quint should at least be given to a foreigner, the MTA guests needs to have a taste of what it feels like to pilot an iconic mech like the Quint. Thanks for this week's chapters! we certainly did enjoy it!
IDK command mech sounds kind of weak. An expert mech that can't defeat other expert mechs but only increase the battle capability of normal soldiers is kind of a waste. Unless the Larkinson can quintuple their mech roster twice. Her usefulness is questionable. If I understand correctly. Command mechs are only used in large war theaters where the command center is too far from the battlefield. This won't be the case for this space-borne clan. As far as types of ranged mechs we have a sniper. but she is not part of the clan just a contracted retainer. The beta(forgot his name Gloriana's brother) is a dogfighter but still not a clan member. This is a failure on her part to protect the clan IMO. No matter how good the lower-level fighting force. they will never beat an expert pilot Without maximum casualties. no matter how good an expert pilot they will never beat an Ace or so on. Combat power is most important. The larkinson beat the dwarves the moment experts gained the upper hand. Relying on external help and other pilots to ensure the Clans protection is a failure on Cassella's part. Is she going to be an expert pilot that only attacks regular mechs???? Unless she becomes Ganzo 2.0 (fighting style)or breaks through to Ace pilot she'll be low-key useless lol.
I know they probley won't do this but the command mech would be good if it had stealth tech. As they said it gets targeted the most but if had stealth it would be hard to target and if ves could make it so it fires black beams would be hard to see in coming attacks heat would still be its weakness though
I am glad Casella choose a Command Center Mech, she'll be a target but she could as a rifleman mech stay behind the Shield of Samar with Davia Stark and pepper the opposite side from cover. Many Commander do after all lead their troops from the back. I don't expect her to leave the Sentinel and other regulars mechs pilots to fend for themselves though. She's the style of person to lead by example whom soldiers have no choice to ignore because her life is on the line just as much as them.
