I think a bestselling idea for the next design round would be... a Bravo-centric dueling mech!! 2nd Class arena matches seem to go with a high proportion of custom mechs. But 3rd Class arenas don't have the safety systems to allow even mediocre mechs to battle it out safely! So they use cheep budget mechs to keep costs down and the audience safe. A Bravo mech base with a Lufa safety backup might work VERY well in the ring. Expecially because the "special features" Ves adds won't add to the bottom line. And if he deliberately adjusts the design to be highly receptive to customizing? Maybe even come out of the gate with a varient from each of the Novice/Apprentice designers in the clan? Heck the Rim Guardians might even give him a prize for reducing deaths in the low end arenas! Which... will allow for a higher chance of breakthroughs with pilots living longer (and piloting with glows)

Soon the Larkinsons are going to prove why they are the favorites
