Gloriana is destined to fail just because of her design philosophy. Ves is an innovator while Gloriana is a honer. Everything she can and will do will always be dependent on Ves's innovative design philosophy. The moment she decided to allow his design philosophy to be a dependent component to her philosophy was the critical moment she lost a lot of the ability to even flourish many of her possible abilities. If Ves ever decides to leave her, she is absolutely f*#ked...
Perfection in itself is not a dead-end, the problem is that she has been consumed with the need to create mechs that have no "imperfections". Perfection is an ideal state that will always be out of reach. Not knowing the difference between excellence and efficiency will cost her a shell-shocking experience in the future to fix. Hopefully... but I'm not particularly certain of this because the author isn't all that great at creating human-like development in his characters. Honestly, this novel just has awful people that you can't find relatable at all, there's also the constant sombreness with no humor in this novel that makes it painful to read at times. Everthing else is great.
yas_vish:Actually, she was already at a dead end. Her philosophy Of perfection would have stopped her. It was only ves who helped her continue from her alump
Tusa’s and Davia’s Mechs are almost ready. I think they’ll get attacked by somebody ASAP & the fight will be awesome. RIP enemy experts. 11 ship slots: 9 filled already, 10th slot will be the cornucopia fuel production ship 11th slot(or 12 if more than one)- possibly a mech carrier either from a fleet they defeat while still in the Galactic rim or traded with a ship from a fleet they defeat in the galactic rim. Seems like an intuitive way for them to get one or two fleet carriers since 1)they cant buy one in the cutrent market and 2) they cant just randomly steal one like pirates. Self defence is good though My Prediction at least
man... imagine the reaction of an enemy mech force if an expert mech comes out and it's a masterwork... and then when the enemy deploys it's own normal expert mech, it's resonance shield gets shattered in a handful of shots by the ylvanians before the experts even collide. the clout the GSA would get from that would ensure their safety from anything short of a first rate state.
