Design spirit: Natural Type: Dead Alien Name: pythoness of past whispers It is a shriveled old hand of an alien that has eyes all over it with 4 lengthy fingers with long nails and grayish skin speckled with black freckles. It was served at the wrist and the hand is all that remains. The hand belonged to an evil witch with an infatuation for knowledge and so as the evil witch grew in power she developed the ability to peer into the past of people and objects she touches at the cost of losing lifeforce and spiritual energy, the further back and the stronger the being (spiritual wise) she tried to see the past of the more expensive the price to pay for her to use it. When used on a mech the pilot can get moments of deja vu in which they may experience the presence of the past pilots of the mech like for instance you're about to be hit in your blind spot but the pilot gets a subconsciously feeling to shift the position of there sword in an odd maneuver to counter it almost like an instance of possession or a great urge. This is a rare occurrence, but fortunate one for the current pilot of the mech as they may gain inspiration or excelled growth as a mech pilot. -Intelligence 0/10 All that remains of the witch is the hand which doesn't have any thoughts other than eating spiritual energy to regenerate itself and replenish its spiritual energy. Though because it has a weak sense of sapience it's easy for Ves to control its ability, but to use it to see the past he has to sacrifice spiritual energy and if he doesn't offer a good enough amount the hand will start eating Ves own lifeforce, so he has to be careful. Ves also has to do checkups on the hand to make sure it's not developing consciousness as it could pose a threat to him if it does. -Adaptability 2/10 The adaptability of the ability will show in how the young talents use the moments of instinctual guidance to progress their abilities in those brief moments most of the average mech pilots will let the opportunity go while the talents of the clan will use those moments to gain inspiration and speed up their development as pilots. -Ability diversity 3/10 The ability is pretty straight up, but it can be used to speed up the training of mech pilots over time and bring fortunate encounters to them. I also thought it could bring meaning to old mechs that aren't being field used in the Larkenson clan anymore. The hand itself outside of the mech can be used to help Ves understand the greater meaning of objects and extinct beings as a valuable tool. -Ability power 5/10 The ability is pretty powerful, it will have both a passive and an active effect in the story with Ves using it to peer into the past of objects and beings, at the cost of having to sacrifice lots of spiritual energy so the active use will be used scarily, but provide beneficial new opportunities for Ves to grow his knowledge. While the passive effect on mechs will allow growth opportunities to the mech pilots over time it is not a frequent ability and it will mostly help the young talents of the clan mature faster.

This event centers around creating new design spirits that can exert a profound influence on mechs and mech pilots. Contest Rules Suggest any ORIGINAL design spirit that partners with Ves and empowers his future mech designs in interesting ways. Backstory is important. Make sure that it explains and provides context to the special abilities that a design spirit can bestow to mechs under its care. You can suggest both natural design spirits (dead humans and aliens) or artificial design spirits (created by Ves by mixing spiritual ingredients). You must allocate the strengths of your design spirit according to a point system. You have 10 POINTS in total which you can allocate to the following categories: -Intelligence (?/10) -Adaptability (?/10) -Ability Diversity (?/10) -Ability Power (?/10) 5 points in any category is already strong. Make sure the description of your design spirit matches your point allocation or it will be disqualified. IMPORTANT! -Design spirits must be one of the following: human, alien, exobeast or spiritual product created by Ves based on distinct ingredients. keeping the the theme every 1k chapters was and nice little side ark in the nyxian gap. 1k was ves dad taking over the dark merc group. 2k was his dad killing some pirate scum and being like yeah I'm an expert pilot now 3k mamma went all god like. Congrats on hitting 3k I love this story might have just started to re read it from the beginning it's interesting I had forgotten that the first ever Mek Ves designed was a female Mek.
Exlor, will Joshua's expert mech be similar to the strike gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam Seed? The reason why I'm asking is because the strike had very similar characteristics to the proposed Chimera Project in the sense that there are multiple war gear loadouts that can swapped out intermittently depending on the circumstances that the mech/Gundam is fighting in.
The sword immortal/ancestor. A spirit made out of parts of sharpie, ketis, life serum, golden cat, and the dead expert pilot woman that got A ranked talent(?) (I forgot her name). Intelligence: 4/10 (it's high because it's a humanoid spirit that uses an expert pilot and a journeyman as ingredients) Adaptability: 1/10 (like the name said, it's only good for sword mechs) Ability diversity: 2/10 (anything related to sword and only sword) Ability power: 3/10 (since the materials is quite the high quality I'm pretty sure its going to be quite strong) Backstory: ketis is finishing her expert mech design and needed a dedicated sword spirit for it. So ves in his moment of Insanity tried to use the spirit of a dead expert pilot and other stuff to create it. He hopes that this spirit would not only be useful for the expert pilot but also for other dedicated sword mech pilot. Usage: the spirit is of high intelligence because it's primary ability is to gather insight or knowledge of anything related to sword and filter in the bad and the good and give the feedback back to the pilot. It should be possible to gather this insight and intelligence with the help of the spirit network that he has been experimenting (also helps that Golden cat is also part of the ingredients). It's all so good if it's use as a spirit for a commercial mech. With a lot more input, the spirit will also grow to be more potent and stronger. I think it should be possible for ves to think of it since he is very appreciative of the swordmaiden and most of all he likes a more dedicated stuff instead of a jack of all trade kinda spirit right? Would be a great way to give back to the swordmaiden and experiment on a expert pilot spirit.
Design Type: Exobeast Name: Evie the Chilling Serpent Intelligence: 2 Adaptability: 3 Ability Diversity: 2 Ability Power: 3 Background: Unlike most of its species (Silver Horned Viper) Evie was born with defective venom glands and an unusual color pattern. Venom produced by its glands was only partially effective at paralyzing prey. To offset this, Evie took on a hunting style focused on multiple strikes, constriction and chasing down prey over long distances. Unfortunately, prey was rare and Silver Horned Vipers were not adapted to persistence hunting as they were prone to overheating and exhaustion especially on the hot arid planet Evie survived on. Evie developed a desperate desire to stay cool while hunting. It would often seek shade while traversing and dreamt about taking down prey through a single bite like other Silver Horned Vipers. One day through a chance encounter and a harrowing battle Evie somehow triggered an ability that caused its enemy to hesitate for a moment. Evie used this opportunity to gain victory through its last strike. Ever since, Evie used this ability in her hunts. Prey were slow to react to attacks while under its effect. With her ability, Evie could even regulate her internal body temperature and her immediate surroundings to stay cool. As Evie matured and developed her ability over time, even her venom could be infused by her ability. Victims would shiver, act clumsy and have trouble coordinating their movements when injected with her venom. Smaller prey would even freeze. Discovery: Ves looking for inspiration for his next mech project, he joins an expedition with his fellow Larkinsons to a sentient exobeast preserve on a barren desert planet. Ves notices a spiritually active Silver Horned Viper with a turquoise and silver pattern. He decides to bring Evie back to his fleet to see if he can use its abilities in his next mech design. Dr Ranya Wodin enamored by the serpent names it Evie. Example Design Spirit Glow Abilities: Under the Chilling Serpents' glow allies stay cool, calm and focused on their targets and are not easily distracted or irritated. Enemies under the effect of the glow feel a chill, have slower reactions and or difficulty controlling their mechs. Example Design Spirit Trigger Abilities: Cooldown: Rapidly dissipates heat away from the mech cooling it down. Freezing Impact: Imbues the next melee or projectile attack. When struck by the attack the receiving mech pilots thoughts and reactions slow to a crawl and in some situations can halt the functions of the enemy mech.

They argue and fight over a bottle inside of Ves’s office where the prosperity tree is. oops an accident . the Contents of the bottle gets spilled onto the prosperity tree. it gains sentience and Ves begins to recoup his losses by discovering it can be used as a design spirit. Usage: Great for bullying the weak. Also in a war footing, it can be a telltale sign of how a battle can proceed. at the beginning of a confrontation, the mechs associated with the prosperity tree may be somewhat withered. however when it becomes a little clear that the Larkinsons will win the prosperity tree mechs will grow more vibrant, so let the prosperity tree mechs out and it Will become a high probability Win. Its about securing the win for good.
REVISED VERSION SPIRIT NAME --- GORE CHILD INT -2 ADAPTibility -3 ( can be used with other design spirit) ABIlity DIVERSITY- 2 ability POWER ---- 3 ABILITY NAME -------- SPIRITUAL IMMERSION BASIC IDEA -------------------- you told i the novel deeper the man machine neural connection better the reaction time and stronger performance in war 1) hence my idea is a design spirit that provides this connection but via spiritual means (eg the women achieved 100% connection in Ves mastery experience) you also pointed out higher level neural interface are dangerous to mech pilot as damage to mech translated to damage to the mech pilot. 2 ) so the second ability of the design spirit is to shield the mech pilots mind from the injury due to deeper immersion in battles \3) over time the design spirit heals the damage done to the mech pilot( if ves grandfather uses the mech his injuries could he healed but the time will be more than 40 years due to his injuries ) but or example MELKOR uses it his neural injuries can be fixed in few years this lengthens the mech pilots carrier/ use full years HOW IT WORKS THE design spirit has the fragment of unending one so it absorbs the spiritual remnant to the dead mech pilots(killed by the mech) and converts it to provide the shield to the mech pilot.( so mech pilots are not injured like benjamin larikso0n) NOTE this increases life of mech pilots as well as expert mech pilots conditions to the ability------------------- the design only allows the deeper man machine connection that it can perfectly shield its mech pilot from additional damage due to deeper connection. the power comes from killing so more the mech pilot kills stronger the power the design spirit can hold for the mech and use it to shield the mech pilot . MECH PILOT can also trigger 100^% man machine connection if he conserves the converted power ( if the power is lower than necessary then the damage to the mech pilot will be there but lower due to design spirits contribution) ADVANTAGE----- works well with other design spirits as u mention higher immersion better effect of other design spirits INGREDIENTS -------------------------VES + QILANXO(attribute that protects mech pilot) + fragment of ALEXIA TRUMP + JOSHUA + UNDYING ONE( WHALE ONE) ATTRIBUTE DEVOURING STORY IN A black market Ves finds salvage /broken first class mechwith broken neural interface but it''s price is very high ( half the rate of a new 1st class mech). this intrigues Ves so he examines it . There he finds a very strong spiritual presence in it (fragment of its mech designer) . So VES talks with it spiritually there he finds it is a Master Mech designed by a first class Senior mech designer ALEXIA TRUMP. The mech reached 100% neural connection with the mech pilot in a battle but they lost the life of th mech pilot in a ambush and the salvage was sold in the black market . He research the mech designers name and finds the mech designer is still alive but the mech was from 30 years ago.And the DESIGN PHILOPOHY of the mech designer is DEEP IMMERSION CONNECTION WITH LESSER INJURY TO MECH PILOT.so ves use the fragment of the design philosophy to create Grore child. as the mech designer is alive a portion of its power is supplied to the design spirit. to increase its power.
