My take on tomorrow chaps. After Ves has left the building, the Wodins will discuss how to go over his head and forge ties with the Clan's elders. Later, Ves will meet with the Cross Clan. And finally (of course) the cliff, Calabast will tell him they've just been approached by another more promising group.....

Maybe this is all part of the plan! She put herself in the position to make him aware of her while her other daughters and maybe sons or husband sneak their way in. Think about it. What if the father-in-law shows up later for a "my daughter" talk? Wouldn't Ves feel better about the Wodin? "Maybe it's not that bad if he can do this."

Petrus… Getting information out of Exlor is as painfully slow as Lucky passing those spikey gems. 😂 Since Ves researched Petrus, it is clear he is not dead. Based on the matchmaking schemes of the Hexers, I would be farely confident he is not simple either. Constance appears intelligent and diplomatic enough to use an unassuming artist husband as a spy to gain information from less capable adversaries in the Hexadric Hegemony. I suspect Brutus and the girls get their confidence and will from him. Marcus’s disarming nature might be an act as well. He could be carrying on the statecraft of his father. I doubt Petrus is short (1.66m) either. Tarkus, might have me fooled, but I suspect he is exactly what he appears to be. Sandwiched between Marcus and Brutus he is free to pursue his own agenda and be used as a political tool to marry into an equally strong Hexer family. Poor boy.

Exlor, I sincerely congratulate you. It is unlikely that at least one villain has caused more suspicion and dislike than the Hexers.

Why do I feel like Ves was fooled into a sense of security by someone much more stronger than he can imagine? Constance Wodin projected exactly the image she wanted to.

Did Gloriana go and sit with her family? Just like an interrogation. And she's smiling this whole time. Good on Ves for not barking like a dog when MIL asked him to channel the Superior Mother.

well the past 3 chapters set the settings for the wedding hope no twist happens. Ves held his ground with mommy in law which is not normal since he attracts strong willed women he tends to give more👏I think mommy in law would have want something like this from Ves
