Ves should explore classes of ships. I think personnel carriers, assault carriers and combat carriers will do him good to store his people. Personnel carriers are like barracks. Huge, lightly armored, slow but have all the amenities for people to live in like entertainments, shops and spectacles. People should be rotated between other ships to personnel carriers for R&R or they will go nuts in their cans. Assault Carriers are designed for ship-to-ship boarding or ship to planet/station boarding. They have large empty rooms for troops and ground mechs, tough armor and good speed. it can also double as prisons. Combat carriers should be ships acting as launch stations for space mechs to fight.

Hm... is Ves still paranoid about that early debt he had from the bank? Most companies this scale make use of complex credit/loans options. But the LMC seems to operate entirely on cash! (And proper use of credit would allow him to avoid paying those dividends he hates so much for months or even years if his accountants are clever enough!) No dividends for BR and YP means none for the Family or Clan either. So those clever accountants need to plan for that ahead of time. Or the Family and Clan need secondary revenue streams to tide them over this little spat about the shares. The LMC really can't be paying for everything forever after all! Ves did set up at least a few extra companies already. (Exobiology Institute, Medical Center, Mech Academy.... ect)

Does a capital ship count as a single ship even if it holds other ships? Same with factory ships and fleet carriers.
