I naturally oppose the inequalities of a cast system… it really serves no purpose. Eventually, through intermarriage, everyone will have some Larkenson blood, unless the cast system forbids Larkensons to have relationships with non Larkensons which further divides the Clan. Billigsley-Larkenson’s descendants may face expulsion from the upper cast for not possessing a pure enough Larkenson bloodline. I’m actually in favour of a renaming ceremony in which all existing Larkensons with hyphenated surnames become Larkensons and all new members become their origin-Larkenson, i.e. Calabast Hexer-Larkenson and James Ylvaine-Larkenson. If any couple forms a union in the future with a Larkenson, they loose the hyphen signifying their offspring have Larkenson genes. Any new members to the Clan in the future join through a similar naming ceremony. Subconsciously the desire towards Larkenson will drive relationships between new comers and existing members. This includes same SEX or Hexer- Larkensons and Ylvaine-Larkensons uniting to be Larkensons. It is not a cast system as much as an earned inclusion system fostering integration for the purpose of producing and raising future generations of Larkensons. All raised under the Larkenson value system. The most powerful conquering methods used by invaders has aways been interbreeding.
Suggestion for evil or good. Ves's abilities are very suitable in order to convey fully what he wants to say to people. He needs to teach thousands of people that they don't just join a clan, they become part of one big family. It is worth putting objects in the ships that will fix this idea with their glow.
