Aimed at the more skillful and veteran pilots Ves' aim is to advance his knowledge in coumoflage tech and claim a spot in the mech market in sentinel kingdom This mechs fighting style is sneaking behind enemy and activating its glow then starts hacking and stabbing in the weakspot then jump back out then activate coumoflage this mech lacks any range weapon to keep its mobility and lower its price range. Its coumoflage type is a staple coumaflage widely used in any assasin mech. Weakness is its rear since it can mainly move forward and side its doesnt have any substantial armor plating. Can be defeated by mostly anyone as long as its exposed This mech will become a staple in assasination due to its price range and its kill rate. Also will be known in star sector as the most notorious mech.

"The killing joke" Class: Spaceborne Heavy Skirmisher Price: budget 3rd class pseudo-heavy It started as a joke at about the perfect Mech, the "heavy Mech that is as fast as a light Mech". But what if you optimize a heavy Mech with budget and light Mech design principles? And also use light Mech parts? One engine isn't enough? Use 10! The result is a puffball filled with fire suppressant fluff and well separated, highly redundant components that are easy to service and repair. And repair you will because this thing will get wrecked in almost every engagement! The six arms have sharp blades and focus on slashing damage as it bounces and jukes through the enemy. Its the counter to the hard-counter of light mechs AND uses more than 95% of the same parts as the budget light skirmishers the bottom tier of forces can afford. It does need SOME unique components tho. For example, it actually has a fair bit of armor on the outside. The cockpit is also a bit more premium and the inertial dampeners are overclocked and overspec'd to an absurd degree. This allows for impossible acceleration for its size, but will also be bounced around by ANY impact. The only thing that makes this mech viable is a high cycle rate for the inertial dampeners. That way the pilot can rapidly dial the power levels to use the mass of the mech for quick movements and impact resistance. The round shape, 360 motion and extra arms means its harder to pilot then a standard humanoid mech. Still requires the same "speeeed" mindset of a normal skirmisher and has barely enough uptime for a full 30 min of fighting. A stupid method of using this mech is to CRASH into an enemy mech and stab it into submission. Then fly back to your ship with the other mech embedded in your side. Its almost guaranteed to be made of more expensive parts then yours. This mech does not look scary. It looks cute! Unless you know what it can do. Then it still looks cute.... but also scary. (The "killing joke" is the design nickname - not the official name)

Obsidian Veritas In an experiment of trying a combination of crystal tech with a substitute synthra umbra, the result was an obscure crystal that loses its capability to absorb lasers. But after the treatment with the crystal cube is discover that it is capable of absorb forms of electronic detection that can occult something behind. So the project evolve in a stealth scout that is 2 EMP compact cannons and 2 blades deploy from the inside of the arms and legs, to avoid problems that will cause its detection. And to communicate uses something similar to a tzianti crystal, so don’t be intercept by enemies and can´t be block for the crystals of the armor. Upon learning, DIVA ask for 2 variants. One with a new communication system of exclusive for DIVA because they don´t know as result of Cabalast avoid give that inform; and other that specialize in extract or insert key elements

Frost Strike Mech Type: Space-bound Striker Mech Mech Class: High-tier Second Class Mech Description: A mech that has the qualities of a striker mech, however it utilizes lower temperatures instead of the flame-types. Since it is bound to deter other space mech, it hastens and naturalize the frost that would appear when travelling in freezing space. Chiron – Teacher of Heroes 2nd Class Teaching Mech Humanoid Space/Land The first time Ves was offered a commission making teaching mechs he didn’t think he was good enough yet. But now that his clan has young potentiates who need to learn how to pilot… he needs mechs to train them on! The basic starter mech is a very small humanoid mech with a full arsenal of practice weapons. (Default is a sword/gun hero configuration) Gloriana added in a feature to allow the limbs to stretch and the hip/ shoulder joints to adjust to fit the young pilot’s physique PERFECTLY. It helps that 10 year old males AND females have very similar body types. Later on the kids can learn how to adjust themselves to a sub-par mech. This one fits itself to the pilot! The design spirit is modeled after the legend of Chiron, the Greek demi-god who was the personal teacher of ALL the famous heroes. The the 3rd eye’s glow changes based on the child’s affinity with the currently held weapon. This allows teachers to more efficiently steer pilots to the appropriate specialty. And/or to shore up weaknesses. Ves’s plan – locking this mech to the Larkinson clan. Gloriana’s plan – eventually selling the full curriculum of teaching mechs to MTA and Hexers for ALL the credits! (We’ll see how the arguments end up)

The Gemini♊️ I’m pulling my inspiration from Ves’s first VR Mech design. Fantasia 2R-E, Gemini cockpit holds 2 pilots (first heavy mech in existence, the Megacrab). I have long been inspired by the concept of two Mechs merged together to complement each other and separate to perform their individual missions. I am also drawing upon the design concept of Master Torqueman Huron, and his Direct Disciple Aisling Carver. Neural interconnectivity, Class IIIV and to some degree achieve this result from input from Patricia Cain (Schneider) and MTA Master Moira Willix, Rational Mech Designers who can imitate other designers specialization to a degree. The last inspiration comes from Lucky’s gems that recently demonstrated an ability to combine individual bonuses of a single gem when two parts of the whole combine. My submission The Gemini♊️, a unique Mech that requires two Pilots of similar mindset. As the name implies, it is designed around twins, Imon (the fighter) and Casella (the strategist) Ingvar are my first choice. I am certain they are not the only twins in the fleet so other variants are possible. A second-class dual mediums Space/land-born Rifleman/artillery Mech that accommodates a command and control theme over a squad of Avatars when in combat or on a mission. While together, Imon’s primary task is to bring the rifle weapons of this mech to bare. Casella provides the utility functionality of enhanced sensing, communication and ECM/ECCM. Thus coordinating the offensive capabilities of the squad, Casella maximizes the effectiveness of the team. In addition, she can share her heightened observations with Imon through the neural interface while linked. He can use his rifle to snip and suppress opponents, at long rang, easing pressure on the squad. When separated Imon looses his space flight capabilities and glides down to planets or moons to perform land-born specific missions without the penalties of a flight design restriction. Casella remains in orbit as over watch with an assortment of artillery missiles payloads to assist her brother if he needs it. Ketis can add to this design by designing a unique swords the Ingvar Mechs use as backup weapons. As the last nobles of The Kingdom of Three Flowers Star Sector, Black Poppy, House Ingvar, I am certain they are skilled duelists 🤺. While together their swords are a unified double edged sword, YinYang☯️. While divided Casella wields Yin, a blade made of bright radiant exotics and Imon wields Yang, a blade of dark exotic metal. My concern is whether Ketis capable of design a masterwork blade with unique names? Though not a Mech it would be an achievement that a Direct-Disciple of Ves Larkenson. Time served since joining Ves Larkenson has removed the false entitlements of their old House Ingvar. Now that they are part of the noble Larkenson Clan it’s time to reinvent that noble spirit in the service of the Clan. The Gemini♊️ will glow with the noble spirit of the New Larkenson Clan. Like the banner Gion held high, this Mech will stand tall in every battle the Clan fights. On land, in the sky’s, or among the stars of the Red Ocean Dwarf Galaxy, The Gemini♊️ will be an enduring symbol. As a side note: I wonder how Aisling and the Fridaymen who bullied Ves Larkenson and his clansman old and new when they realize Ves/Gloriana’s Mech has all their benefits and none of their weaknesses… [Revenge is a dish best served cold]! Nothing hurts more than your life’s dreams usurped and made better.

The Overlord Ves and gloriana influenced by james tackle the transcendent messenger design again for a 2nd class upgrade, it would be made into 3 variants, one hybrid for mass market purposes, one hero for those in the clan that prove themselves of outstanding potential as reward or as limited and very expensive commision and a custom personal lead by gloriana in this case on personal demand the 2 first ones being made respectively for james and taon meilin it would be upgraded to be both spaceborne and landbound as a true second class mech it has a ketis designed sword prowess wich would need the pilots to be also proficient in swordplay outside mechs and heavy use of the crytal technology for both energy circuitry and counter to laser weapons, its has a shield with a nextgen laser or plasma canon, and a gauss gun with 3 shots The Overlord is a premium premium mech designed for potential expert pilots, commanders and champions, its true purpose is to be the flag bearer of the forces employing it as both inspiration and performance, a true blue blood mech for the commanders and heroes

PDL–F/D 3rd Class Backline Mech Special Feature: “Forget Me” Design Spirit: “Benny” This mech is the MOST powerful laser weapon a 3rd rate state can mass produce with just enough mech parts to pass MTA qualifications. - Moves under its own power. - No external power or ammo supplies. - Controlled by a neural interface. The PDL-F/D (Planetary Defense Laser, F/D grade pilots) is intended as an emergency defense laser against orbital targets. It is deployed in urban environments and drills a deep (but narrow) hole in the bedrock to put its superconducting heat sink. After each shot it must retract the heat sink, fly several hundred meters away, and drill a new hole. If it makes it to a new location without being seen, the glowing heat signature left behind might be an effective red herring. It is meant to be piloted by an even lower grade of mech pilots then Frontline mechs. So the controls are a dead simple “input firing coordinates”, and “fire”. It almost flies itself with anti-grav and very simple piloting interface. Because there is no way pilots of this grade would survive any length of time in active combat, this mech doesn’t even try. Instead it pretends to be a boring building REALLY HARD. The cockpit is even a fully functional virtual office! After all, any pilot assigned to this mech will likely spend their entire career NOT hitting “The Big Red Button”. Pilots under a useful grade are pretty much doomed to a very frustrating school experience of failing constantly. No one will hire them after they graduate and they have no training in anything else. This allows a state to make use of those marginal pilots in any job that can be done from a virtual office. (Graphic Design, Tax Auditor, CopyEditor….) No need to send them through the full pilot school either, a single class and then yearly refreshers is sufficient. The major, glaring weakness of a mech that never moves and depends on stealth is espionage. You can make sure the electronic records are flawless and the camouflage is perfect – but if the local citizens notice all those extra “water towers” or office spaces with doors that don’t open… a spy need only gather the gossip. Ditto if the pilot brags about his mech assignment. That is where the design spirit comes in! “Benny” has an outward glow of “forget me, I’m boring” to ward off spies. On bootup the internal glow checks to see if the pilot spilled classified secrets yesterday – then gives an burst of affirmation and starts. While Benny will never fire the gun without the pilot… if the pilot attempts to fire the laser without proper authorization from Command… the gun will mysteriously malfunction. The fact that millions of pilots are spending all day doing paperwork through a neural interface might have some interesting pilot breakthroughs. Only time will tell. (And what would an “Expert Tax Analyst” even look like?)

Danger Von Nope Noodle 2nd Class Arena Mech (custom) Special Feature: Charisma Aura Ves didn’t name it “Danger VonNopeNoodle”, the customer did. Ves was going for a “flying dragon” mech and… landed on “flying snake” instead. (Probably because he used a snake exobeast for the aura). Snake mechs are usually used as “Tunnel Scouts”. Got a fortress with super strong walls to break down? The door is not as thick as the walls, so just build a mech that fits down human-sized hallways with enough length to have a medium mech worth of parts. Armored head for bashing and defense. Tons of weapon mounts in the mouth and if you can get within striking distance of a heavy mech – crushing them with your body also works! Didn’t want to submit “Tunnel Scout” as my contest submission because the use cases of a mech designed to fit down civilian-grade hallways are a bit too ‘war-crimey’ for my taste. Lets talk about Danger Von NopeNoodle instead! Danger Von NopeNoodle is not a stealth mech. It has brightly colored, overlapping, spiked scales for extra traction when doing snake-y parkor. Very flexible and can use its whole body in every way a snake does and more! After all, real snakes don’t have anti-grav systems. In fact it is less of a dueling mech and more of an exhibition or stunt mech! The charisma arua just makes it even more interesting for the spectators to watch.

Here is a MECH I would like: an aerial skirmisher. And the main reason why I would like it is because this could actually be first started by Miles (Aerial speciality) and Ketis (Skirmisher will use knives, so thats her speciality). I don't expect them both to break into journeymen directly or anything but it would be a nice chance to explain them getting a boost to their speciality. Also I love it when all characters in the story progess, usually the stor MC has a oneman/woman show but here its a living universe where others also matter. Then Ves could overhaul it because he did have the mastery experience for this type. Also having Ves go at it would be nice because I feel that its a must to make this mech fill the void for his abysmal land forces. Also this story allready has Raella (Skirmisher expert) and Tusa Billingsley-Larkinson (Aerial skirmisher expert canditate) so it would be a nice fit for them + a boost for his clan landbound forces. 1. Also I would like the idea of starting out with a Premium 3rd generation mech at first (like first iteration) and this should mostly come out with max speed (for Tusa specially) and deadly knives (because of Ketis). And this variant should maybe go with dodging to stay alive. And starting out with a Premium 3rd tier will also be possible for the LMC to sell. 2. Then Ves should make a pass for the design and also prepare a better version for his own forces with thin Breyer armor for survivability. Also this version (for his forces) should end up with at least a bridge class (between 3rd and 2nd class) and add more versatility and here there are 2 options: either limited stealth or limited range option (this is more boring but safe option, but I feel the hybrid approuch might not be as good). But adding limited stealth would make it possible to use the mech for decapitation strike + it would tunnel more on the extreme skirmisher side (and emphasis on strength has been the way to go in the novel so far). 3. And once Tusa turns into expert pilot or Ves turns fully second class this same base MECH could get more versatility like modest space capacity or some other commando level options. I mean we could have in/out solo operations in many story points. Also this way Raella and Tusa don't need to swap MECHs when we have space engagements. And considering that any skirmisher pilot needs to be really bold and a bit crazy I would suggest a name like: Slippery Devil. - Slippery, because the whole concept needs max speed and dodging. - Devil, because you will never be ready to encounter this.

The contest has started, and I have already stewed the idea over the weekend. Therefore I shall be the vanguard in this contest. Mech name: Harpy Mech role: Light striker mech Mech type: Landbound Mech class: High end 3rd class / low end 2nd class Description: A landbound light striker mech, designed by, and for, vicious minds. It’s main feature is its oversized afterburner / booster system featured prominently at the mech back, normally rated for a medium class mech. The afterburner has a high top speed, which enable the mech to burn straight to enemy mech in CQC, or avoid ranged weapons. And should the pilot decide to, in melee is where the mech’s two power claws can come into play, with enough crushing power and thermal energy to crack open armor with ease. Beside its pair of power claws, the harpy only have one more additional ranged weapon system. Which is a sound blaster, a compact short to medium range rifle which utilizes sound wave as a weapon. The strength of the weapon system is that the sound bypass enemy mech armor and affect enemy mechs in a radius, so it will affect multiple enemies in a cone area of effect. Remark: Direct hit at short range by a sound blaster will kill an enemy mech pilot as every blood vessels ruptured, causes both eyes to bleed and causing multiple strokes in the brain. Death would be slow and painful, but the enemy mech itself would be undamaged, causing salvage to be highly profitable. Power claws for elite enemies, and soundblaster for the grunts are recommended. Strength: No ammo required, suited for long operation behind enemy lines where ammo resupply is not possible. Weakness: Just like a cheetah, the mech perform above and beyond, but will suffer performance degradation as the battle drags on. Warning: Sound blaster usage in urban areas will cause catastrophic level of collateral damage.

Dolos 2nd or 3rd Class Custom Dueling Mechs Duel-wielding Longswordman Special Feature: Cheats really hard A young noble just inherited his family seat after everyone ahead of him in the line of succession was killed in perfectly legal “Honor Duels”. It was the same person each time. Good news for the kid is that he can’t be challenged to a duel until the official year of morning is up. He really, REALLY wants Ves and Goriana to design him a mech to preserve his life AND get vengeance. The rules of “Honor Duels” allow the challenged to provide two identical weapons for inspection. The challenger then picks which weapon to use. As a pilot, the young noble can pick “mechs”. (Because the mechs must be perfectly identical, if Ves creates a single Masterwork, he keeps it) First way it cheats is the two longswords that can’t be dropped. This is ALWAYS a disadvantage because the off-hand longsword will tangle your main hand, or merely be useless. Only a person with PERFECT ambidexterity will have an advantage. (There are many videos on YouTube with expert swordsmen looking like idiots only because they are duel-wielding) “Perfect” ambidexterity is unbelievably rare… and comes with the advantage that any skill learned on one hand (or foot) is also mastered on the other. The disadvantage is that cross-body skills are harder to learn – not impossible tho and learning one such cross-body skill makes future ones easier to master. Handed people have no such advantage learning multiple “off hand” skills. In fact… this ‘duel longsword’ design might be Ketis’s idea! She IS a sword nerd after all – and there isn’t a sword student alive who hasn’t tried duel-wielding longswords because “It looks so cool!”. The Swordmaidens probably have an expert who is ambidextrous “enough” to train our customer while the mech is being designed. A real swordmaster will simply drop the extra sword and kick your butt as they train you to use two – and is probably better with their offhand then you are with your main! Second way this mech cheats is Gloriana’s specialty. “Dolos” is a perfect fit to the customer and even uses his ambidexterity to place the controls in “intuitive” locations instead of the standard ones. This means all controls are placed on side closest the part. Nothing “cross-body”. Third and strongest way this mech cheats is Ves’s specialty. “Dolos” is very partial to his owner, roots for him to win and has NO scruples about messing with the opponent. His glow also enhances focus on your “main” hand… at the expense of your off-hand. The hard part will be teaching Dolos how to cheat undetectably. **: This mech is named after the Greek god of deception and trickery. PPS – Ambidexterity is usually defined as simply being able to use your “other” hand as well as an average person uses their main hand. But the person is still very much “handed”.

Mech: Crystal Scorpion Weight Class: Medium(heavier) 2nd Class Space Mech Primary weapon: Long range laser powered by crystals. With the clan travelling through dangerous space, the mechs will be stationed on the ship surfaces to shoot at enemies. This mech was inspired by Ves's use of the 2nd class mechs with the magnetic plates to create a bunker on the ship surface. And in the bunkers, shafts to transfer heatsinks and energy cells(or direct energy linkage). Secondary tech, add the energy vampire appendage that they are adding onto the Hexer knight/support mech to connect to the ship for the energy linkage. Spiritual, a bit of the Yllivian marksman prediction, combined with the training spirit to help train the clan pilots to use the 2nd class mechs.

Mech Class- medium Mech Type- Hero or Swordsman mech Glow type- Gimmick- crystal sword built with the help of ketis with crystal lord tech improved by tristan. allows for short wave energy busrts (short-medium range projection) able to absorb kinetic as well as laser energy Built by Ves, Gloriana, Tristan (crystal tech)and ketis(crystal sword advice) I see this mech being used by the kinner tribe or the lmc guard troops( the name escapes me here, give me a pass please lol). I cant see the Avatars using this mech. After the war they collaborate. Ves obviously cant trust tristan with luckys gems, but he has a crystal cube built by the crystal lord that he is willing to show tristan. Tristan is able to progress his design seed for crystals and unlocks more potential from the crystal technology. he finds a modified circuit that allows for kinetic energy absorbtion in the cubes structure, and adapts it to a melee weapon. ketis is able to provide tips for a sword design that is sturdy when made from crystal. the outer layer is imbedded with the kinetic circuit, and the core of the blade still has the laser absorbtion feature, that feeds back into the mech, and can be projected out from the sword in a short-medium range fan to overcome light mechs that can out manuever the swordsman due to the lack of space for a more powerful flight system. Major Problems- Power Supply space is limited due to heat management from crystals kinetic absorbtion properties. Kinetic energy absorbtion produces just as much heat as a laser rifle, so limited amount that can be absorbed. sword is damaged from heat build up, but can self repair given enough time and energy. only viable for short and medium engagements. cant hold up long term due to heat exchange problems(even after class 2 heat mitigation techniques) and enormous energy needs. possible overclock ideas for an intense battle that uses alternative heat exchange methods during a fight and the sword breaking after taking an intense blow that is converted to power and recharging the mech.

Mech Submission Name: Rouge Husar Role: Charge Striker hybrid A mech designed for hit and run tactics against superior mechs. It uses it's operational heat from its system to heat "soft" metal discs slotted into it's unusually shaped heat sinks. These discs are then slotted into a cannon breach and sealed before a propellant charge blasts the disc with such force out the cannon barrel that the disc deforms and flys out as a type of superheated slug, punching through a surprising amount of armor and splattering superheated metal onto whatever it can't penetrate. it's poor accuracy is supplemented by a powerful flight system much akin to a charger mech which quickly brings the mech in close enough to blast its target and then fly on past at high speed. The nature of the weapon makes it require reloading of a new disc after each shot but the power and ejection of waste heat combined with the high speed of the machine allows for this to be down between attack runs. The issue is that while it can handle a bit of shock and recoil, it's best not to actually run into anything at high speed as it is not a true melee mech. potential secondary weapons include missiles, mine layers, or a spear for area denial and general havoc spread amongst the enemy as it will likely be flying in and out of,or at least near, hostile formations. (This weapon system is heavily inspired by the coffee can penetrator bombs insurgents used in the middle east to punch through tank armor at close range. Explosives, packed in a coffee can surrounded by dirt or concrete and then with a copper plate placed in front of it. They were known to put a fist sized heated slug of metal through the side of an Abrams MBT and kill anyone in the path of it.)

mech submission scarred avenger 2nd rate expert space light skirmisher mech scarred avenger is a mech exclusively designed for Davis stark, the crippled expert pilot picked in cloudy curtain. this mech was designed after said pilot reignited her will to live due to the very real alien threat in red ocean galaxy this mech sole purpose is to kill alien opponents as brutal and efficient as possible and thus is geared for short high intensity engagement. its appearance is that of a robbed humanoid with ominous black/red pattern with golden cat like eyes, making it a fearsome look in the battlefield and a utter dread to any opponent. it's main weapon is a pair of daggers with Breyer alloy core supported by the corrosion ability of zeigra the crown cat, while the secondary is a particle sub machinegun. what makes this mech so dreadful is the way the corrosion ability is employed; instead of doing random damage, it is all concentrated in the tip, so any penetrating hit will do massive corrosion damage to the internals even if they are not cut directly.
