Well, at least Ves should complete the prototype Rifleman and send it out for testing while he works on the synthesizers' teething issues in parallel

Guessing I'm one of the few here who's had a actual job where they made home grown hydrothermal synthetic crystals for real eh! Cooked overnight for about 12 hours could make a few dozen batches. Only ours were only the size of a flattened grain of rice. They were used as timing oscillators in custom made scales.. This was 30 plus years ago.

Any else wonder if that crystal cube in the vault might have a few secrets worth exploring about now?

Why not use the tech upgrader ticket on the sythnesizer

This rifleman mech design arc has turned into torture.

Pretend to study crystallograpghy....and use the damn ticket to improve the crystal fab machine. Or fake another mech/fabmachine hybrid and superpublish it.

The golem said growing crystal why I am thinking his crystal maker is not as advance as a race using crystal in weapons and everything else. But building one mech for testing is a great idea and buying some books on crystal making I am sure the system has it. He missing knowledge right now. Humans may only be at beginners to the system knowledge

what now? take those two good crystals and install them in the prototype mech to see if the overall design even works. Then you redesign and improve your crystal machine.

eh, I don't see why he couldn't use a array of smaller crystals, kinda like gundam with the giant mirror laser weapon o3o then again maybe it would be too hard to focus the energy then ehhh whatever it's scifi xD shouldn't over think so much
