So, nearly 240 chapters in... Time and time again we're told that heat is best dissipated in water. We've seen just this a few times where heavy laser mechs submerge themselves to dissipated heat. So you're telling me, in the deep, high pressured, cold sea.... These liquid heat ports aren't instantly cooled and hardened even faster than lava when it touches the sea? Yeah, that mech is weird and all but not one that should have been in this setting.
What exactly is materialization? Is it 3D printing on a molecular level or actual elemental synthesis? Elemental synthesis would require massive amounts of energy and goes against established lore that exotics are poorly understood extra-dimensional materials. Also, heat weapons underwater strong enough to melt metal would create a lot of water vaporization, making it difficult to see the battle for spectators, even considering the higher boiling point of the high pressure water. While the heat weapon issue is minor, I think both the heat weapon and materialization issues introduced in this arc are both unnecessary. The materialization issue is decades or centuries of technological progress away from affecting Ves in his third rate state. So, the only plot advancing point in this arc is his refocus on the violent nature of mechs. Not worth what is looking like 5+ chapters of filler.
