He did, but he thought he was smart enough to not forcibly increase his intelligence, math comprehension, and later, physics comprehension (which requires understanding math problems to understand) using DP and instead go about it organically. An idiot will always remain an idiot unless forcibly rehabilitated through medical means.
This MC is realy ... i even know what to say... He gift the ore to his cat ?!? Seriously ??? He's own new master say explecitly this think was realy, realy precious and rare and he did something like that !?! This is clearly a very, very specialy rare ore ! And he just dutch it becose he's too silly and actualy limited to understand it now. His lack of insight make me cry.
Ugh. Just, wow. My view of the main character as an intelligent and prudent man is taking hits, here. Seriously. A master of his own profession from a blueblood background treats the rock as her most valuable possession in front of him then specifically tells him it's incredibly valuable for him pwrsonally, and his first thought is "well, I can't immediately determine this is useful, might as well feed it to my cat and get nothing out of it." The sheer amount of negligence and whimsy that takes just hurts my brain.
In this chapter the MC make a very idiotic and short sighted decision!!!! “He look coolly as his cat eat a INCREDIBLE HARD ORE THAT’S VERY VALUABLE”? He try to look cool while cutting his genital off is more like it. He try to get a gem that can put in ONE mech when he could wait and analyze the ore to benefit ALL his MECHS!!!!!!!!! URRRRRRRR SO ANGRY!!
Priceless rock us used as cat food. At the very least he could have sold the rock for large quantities of other rare ores. I get that this is a plot device to upgrade lucky, but unless lucky gives him a massive benefit the tradeoff isnt worth it in a realistic scenario. The most irritating thing is that he didn't even view it as an upgrade, but a treat to spoil his cat. It makes complete sense that he was a uncreative, idiotic, waste of space before he got the system.
