there are times that you'll get angry and frustrated over xhemin's decision and of her treatment of Daryl but it's part of the twist and turns of the story, to squeeze out all our emotions, that's how good a story is.
Darryl must have been in horrible pain all those years. His wife vanished, his child apparently died and he blamed himself for being unable to protect them. And now he finds out that he cried over an empty grave, that he was lied to and that his child does not know either that he is his father. I'm very disappointed in her for always doing what she wants without caring how others might worry or get hurt because of her. Everytime her excuse is that she had a reason and that it wasn't her intention to hurt others and its not her fault because she couldn't control the situation. If I were Darryl I would divorce that sorry excuse of a human being and fight for my child's custody.

I wonder why Zijay created a character such as Xemin.So horrible and selfish even in fiction.. I feel Darryl's pain.All through he is the real victim of circumstances. Nevertheless, I can't get enough of this book.Every opportunity I get,I dig into this book,reading word by word..hoping that the Lagdameo heir will eventually be happy.
in xhemin's point of view, initially she doesn't know that she gave birth to triplets, she was unconscious during childbirth due to accident. she also thought that she lost her only son coupled w/ the sudden death of her grandfather and the massive searching for her by her stepfather who she doen't know at that time. she was depressed and Daryl was not even there to comfort her. remember, Daryl was caught and imprisoned by his father upon returning. even w/ the protection of Daryl's sister and body guards she still met w/ an accident. she only learned everything when ziggy and her communicated after her feigned death. even after that they were separately monitored and doesn't know who there enemies are (though we later learned that it's sam who did this to determine ziggy's safety). zhem could not even hold and watch her children grow..
