34 I heard you are getting married today?

Coming home at 9 PM is early for Guan Xian. Ever since his sister throws a fit at father Guan and moves out from the Guan manor, her darling mother Quan Si keeps bugging him to stay on the manor. Thus he stays on the manor every weekend, starting from Friday night.

However, Xiao Ni and his father have made up and he stayed to spend more time with his family.

Like usual, the living room was still lively as her mother likes to watch the drama with the house assistant. He casually parked the car outside. "Mom, I'm home."

Usually, her mother would reply with an, "Oh, you are home." Or "Have you eaten yet?" or just straightly ignore him is she was too invested in the drama she is watching.

But today Guan Xian almost has a heart attack when he saw her mother standing on the door side with a big grin on her face.

"My son, you finally home!" She said with a cheerful face, then the next second she pulled Guan Xian into a big hug.

Guan Xian is not so stupid. He sniffed and glance suspiciously at his mother.

"Mom, what are you planning this time, I swear I will pay people to attend the next blind date you arranged."

Mother Guan did not look offended, instead she grins wider than before. Guan Xian hold his breath and took a step back. He did not like this.

"Mom, I haven't slept around these past months. Also, I always wear the best protection. So whoever child it is, it's not mine. You are not a grandmother yet."

"Son! What child are you talking about? You are just going out today, how could there is a child already. Aiyo, this naughty boy." Mother Guan sniggers and use her hand to cover her lips. Guan Xian's eyes flare-up.

Three weird responses from her mother and he hasn't got any beating! Holy cow, it was equivalent to a miracle. Guan Xian finally leans in and puts his long arm around her mother's shoulder.

"My beautiful Quan Si, what is it this time? You are not arranging a blind date but an engagement party instead? Let me tell you, even if grandfather Guan told me to rewrite all the old poems he had, I will not settle down!" He smiles and happily wanted to walks away.

Her mother finally becomes herself again after he felt someone hit his back. "Mom, it's hurt!" he groaned.

"You said it again! Come on! Say it to my face you will never settle down!" Mother Guan viciously roll her long sleeve and prepared to hit her son again.

Guan Xian swallows his own saliva before he runs away as he screams. "I WILL NEVER SETTLE DOWN!!!!!!!!!!"

"STINKY BOY YOU COME HERE! I WILL HIT YOUR BUTT UNTIL YOU CAN'T SIT PROPERLY TOMORROW!!!!"

Father Guan is reading some documents in his office. When he heard Guan Xian screaming he knew her wife scream will come next. He slurped his juiced slowly as he enjoys the chaotic sound outside his office.

"YOU SAID IT AGAIN!"

"AW MOM! I TOLD YOU ALREADY, I DON'T WANT TO GET MARRIED!"

"YOU STINKY BOY!"

"AW! AW! AW! AW! MOM! MOM! DON'T HIT ME WITH THE BRUSH! GUAN XIAO NI COME OUT AND HELP ME!"

Father Guan shook his head slowly and continue reading his document as if he heard nothing.

The next day, Guan Xian woke up with stinging pain on his butt. He frowned and sighed, why on earth her mother still treats him like a 5 years old boy. Maybe it's true, on mother's eyes he would forever be his little boy.

After getting ready, he walked to the dining room, prepared to have breakfast with them. On the dining table, there's only her mother and father. Like usual his little sister hasn't yet to wake up. Guan Xian groaned when he sat on the chair.

Mother Guan still holding grudges to him, so she ignores Guan Xian's pained expression and went to taking soup for father Guan. "I heard you are getting married today?"

Guan Xian jaw dropped at his father's words. This! This! How could the father and mother bully their son like this? He starting to believe that they found him on the garbage…

"What married, turn out your son has been rejected by that girl!" Mother Guan looks bitter and hateful.

Guan Xian did not understand what is she talking about, he elegantly pouts out soup for himself and acts deaf. It's the only way for him to stay one piece when his mother is picking him up.

Father Guan like usual, is interested in stories that make Guan Xian miserable. "Rejected? Someone actually rejected our son?" he pretends to look like he was concerned.

"Yes ah! I was talking to that girl's mother again last night. Sigh! She actually said her daughter just got out from a toxic relationship and did not plan to have another heartbreak…" Mother Guan explained.

Her mother rolls her eyes while Guan Xian couldn't hold his grin. "Still my little sister treat me the best!"

Xiao Ni gives him a thumbs up while taking some soup to her bowl.

"What's so good about your brother that she will regret it for her life? I don't remember he has an outstanding achievement whatsoever.." Mother Guan said indifferently.

Guan Xian was speechless. He is the youngest list of Asian forbus and it was not an achievement in her mother's eyes. Should he join some mathematic olympiads to make his mother proud?

"Mom, that's why you need to starts watching the news instead of just watching drama every day." Guan Xian with a pout. Xiao Ni likes his little loyal supported nod her head.
