Coming Back Home

'How long has it been since I came back home?' Li Min-Ju thought as she walks outside the Beijing Capital International Airport

As she walked out of the airport with her son by her side holding her hand. She wondered what her life might have been like if she stayed but she pushes the feelings away because she has a very specific reason for leaving and never coming back until her best friend begged her to come

She told the taxi driver "Can you take us to this wedding venue?" showing him the address the bride gave her

While in the taxi, she called her husband "Oh yeobo*, I have landed and I'm on my way to the wedding venue. Are you going to be there for the actual wedding?"

The man on the other side said

"Yeah I will be there I already booked a flight. I'll be there soon."

"Okay, salanghae*" replied Min-Ju

"I know." Replied Park Su-Hyung while hanging up the phone

As Min-Ju and her son Park Yong-Sun reached the wedding venue her heart pounded expecting something or someone to call out her name. She knew who she was about to see. She tried to keep calm but in her mind, she was trying to prepare herself

As Min-Ju and her son walked into the lobby of the venue. They were greeted with...

"AHHHHHHHHH OH MY GOD ITS YOU, ITS ACTUALLY YOU." Screamed Chen BiYu running towards them without any regard that she was wearing 4-inch heels. She hugs Min-Ju with a tremendous amount of force.

"It's been too long." Said Min-Ju when BiYu releases the hug and turns to Yong-Sun

"Hey, little guy we finally meet and not on a computer screen." She said tapping his nose and messing up his hair

Min-Ju nudged her son to say Hello

"annyeonghaseyo*" said Yong-Sun bowing at BiYu

Min-Ju laughed and said kneeling down to speak eye to eye with him "Remember what I said we are not speaking in Korean today, We have to speak Chinese. Understand."

Yong-Sun gives her a nod earning him a small chuckle fromMin-Ju

"Let's go meet the others," said BiYu easily linking her arms with Min-Ju

As they walked into the beautiful ballroom, where all the bridesmaids and groomsmen but one person captured her attention.

Min-Ju freezes and so does everybody else. BiYu knew who Min-Ju was staring at but as she opens her mouth to say something nothing comes out

Her Ex-Boyfriend and the love of her life Huang Jinhai

He was staring at her, then to her son, and back to her.

Her eyes only fixed on him.
