1 Chapter I “ Surprise! “

All I am is bloodshed, and everywhere I go I leave a trail of bodies. The thought of revenge forged me; vengeance molded me; the lust for war is engraved on my mind and body. But I never thought that I, a warlord and a gladiator, would find redemption.

"My name is Leonard Nov. I am the eldest of the three sons of Tigris Nov, the current Galactic King. All my life has been everything my father had hoped for because I am his successor, but all of that would change until I chose the path of a warlord who lusts for blood and battle."

three years before the start of the third galactic war.

As I began my training on a habitable planet with no signs of intelligent life forms called Xaba, I sensed a ship coming. "Hmm, that's Cal's ship."

As the ship landed, I saw my brother with a familiar face. "Cal, why'd you bring her here?" I asked.

"Me and Sam just wanted to see you, Leo, so how's training?" As I looked at the both of them with such confusion, we walked, and I told them about the difficulties of my training. "Well, it's really hard, you know. Father put me on such a planet where there is literally no one here. I can survive on fruit alone, but I want to eat meat!" And we all laughed, and surprisingly, Cal brought some meat. "Cal, you're a lifesaver brother!" And so we cooked the meat and enjoyed the moment.

"I'm curious; are you two dating by any chance?" I asked Cal.

"Dating?! Umm.. ughhh.." I giggled as I saw my little brother trying to avoid the question, and as I looked at Sam, she looked like she was about to explode, so I burst into laughter.

"BWAHAHAHA! So you two are really dating!" As I burst into laughter just like any other elder brother would, I began to stop, looked at them both seriously, and put my hands on their shoulders. "Don't worry, brother, I'm not going to tell father, so be good to her. And Sam, you have to understand the circumstances you're in; we can't let this out in public or you two will be forced to be separated. Do you understand?"

Sam said as the two of them smiled and looked at each other. "We understand Leo." I smiled, looked at them both, and said "Good." As I reminisced, I got a sudden hologram call.

"Leo!" It's my father calling in a desperate tone. "Father?! What's wrong?! I hear blaster shots!" As I looked at the hologram, my heart couldn't stop beating. "Leo, I want you to call General Dis and say we're under attack! Tell him it's Code X, I repeat Code—" As the call stopped, I remained calm and told my brother, "Go to planet Reefa, put out the tracker of your ship, and take Sam with you." I said to my brother "What's happening at the palace, brother ?" He asked. "At the moment, I don't know, but I want to make sure that you're both alright. I'll call Bolo, and he'll be with you."

As I called General Dis and told him about what my father had instructed, he acted immediately, and after that, I called my other brother Bolo, and he rushed to be with Cal. And as for me, I geared up and brought my trusted knife and blaster with me.

"What the fuck is going on here?" I mumbled as I drove my ship to Planet Nov.

As I saw my home planet crumble to pieces, I felt fear like I'd never felt before. The moment my ship landed, I rushed towards the palace, and there I saw my father sitting on his throne with blood all over his body. "Father!?!" I yelled as I rushed over his almost-lifeless body. "Father?! What happened?!?" My father's eyes opened slightly as he took his final breath. "My son, avenge us from the Daxam." Then he died.

From that day on, I swore I would get my revenge on those Daxam scums, and my hatred for them grew as the years passed.

Year 3 after the start of the 3rd GW (present day)

"Prince Leo, this is the last resistance of November; if this falls, we're all doomed, and the rest of the empire would die along with it!" Said by General Dis.

"If we don't act now, General, those past 3 years would go to waste. Just follow my plan, and I'm sure that this planet would be ours and its people would be free from Daxam hands." I replied.

"Y-yes, sir." General Dis then proceeds to walk out of my tent with frustration at our HQ here in Xaba.

General Dis has been frustrated with the current results of the war; that's because we're at our last stand. 10,000 troops aren't enough for a whole army, but with better strategic options, I think we can handle it pretty well.

As I sat on the top of a mountain, I looked beyond the horizon of Xaba. "Father, I don't know if I can continue this mission. You trained me to become a better soldier and yet here I am, I've become one of the warlords, a path you told me not to step into because you knew if I do it would corrupt my mind. But father, it is necessary for our peoples survival. I'm sorry, I left my brothers on a planet that is beyond the reach of war because I'm the only one you thought on how to think like you. Father, I'm reaching my limits" and I dozed off.

I heard the unfamiliar voice of a woman. "Leo, come here, Leo." What? Who's there? "I'm right here; follow me." And there I saw a woman with beautiful blond hair and bright brown eyes, and suddenly I woke up.

"I must be dreaming..."I Then proceed to finalize our plan of attack.

As I looked at our outnumbered troops, I still felt confident because I have another secret plan that I haven't told anyone except my team. I smirked and shouted, "General, prepare the troops and proceed to the planet without me!"

"What?!?!?!" General Dis was shocked and is in for a big surprise.
