1 Sam's Trip to Village

Samaria is now twelve and his grandparents have a great urge to see her so she along with her little sister Kaira and maid mom Kamla will off to their village Kadaipur on the outskirts of Malai town. Mom always scolds us if we don't call "MAID MOM" to Kamala aunty oops!! , sorry mom. She had been taking care of me and Kaira since I was two and Kaira was one. We are very excited to meet Grandpa after so long he lives there with Uncle, Aunt, and our younger brother. He had been shifted there for the past five years after drought hit our village and the villagers, particularly farmers were committing suicide.

I have heard from Appa that Grandpa used to have a great dread of helping others. He is amongst the people who can serve anything for the country without expecting anything in return. I and Kaira want to become like Grandpa.

Sam has got her name on the name of her late grandmother and probably that's why it is the main reason she always wants to do something for increasing the pride of her name.

It took us three hours to reach our home. Such a hectic journey, Kaira finds herself uncomfortable during journeys so she chooses to sleep while traveling. It's time to surprise Baba, he is in the garden area, we brought set a kurta pajama to gift him. We peeped through the window and found him feeding pigeons with his left hand and from his right him holding his stick. Slowly by crawling we encountered him with a loud giggle and hugged Babaaaaaaa!!!. Sam and Kia, "You guys are here", "Ohh so are planned a surprise, come and sit along with me". "I thought I would die without seeing the face of my little STARAS". Baba, you are wrong, it's Stars, not Stara.

Baba smiled and held our hands with his trembling hand and explained, Star is boys and Stara is for girls, something like,"Star✨ chamakta H, lekin Stara chamakti hai".

Understood.

Baba wanted to teach us something very important which was printed in our minds till now.

He gifted us two chocolates differently to each one of them so that we don't start fighting each other. While we start eating he started, " I Spent the past five years of my life helping others, and now when I look backward finding my decision to worth it. Helping others is like worshiping god and I want my Staras to help and shine for others, in the very same way as stars burns and shines for others.

After that Sam had only one dream in her mind to serve the nation. She promised her Baba to never let him down. She had decided to keep nation and service at the top of her priority list and then her family.

While she and Kaira were leaving Baba gave them, a golden pendant of "STARAS" and said, 'I don't know my eyes will see you again because its time to go and meet your Grandma, and hugged us tightly with the round ball-like tears coming down through his cheeks and meeting the tip of the leaves of the garden.

Kia and I will miss you Baba. Bye!!
