1 ~Chapter 1~

Kenzie's POV

"Fuck!" I shouted as his belt knuckle hit the same spot my back for the third time. All I could think of right now was my childhood, all the happy memories, the peaceful times, the days we would just read their interviews and smile, but all that was all different now, another hit was what it took to bring me back to reality.

After a few more hits, I was free to go, and luckily for me my full length mirror was directly opposite my room's door, the first thing I saw was my body looking so not like my body. I that exact moment, while scanning the bruises, I confirmed my hunch and officially announced myself as an 'orphan' living with two strangers I used to call parents- not like they were close to being one.

I really don't like telling people about myself or even introducing myself, but I have to:

Mckenzie Sierra Johnson is the name, the only child of business tycoons Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, Pete and Amberson to me, owners of Royal Empire.

Trevor has been my best friend for like forever, Amberson, Grace (Trevor's mum), Pete and Sam (Trevor's dad) have all been friends since college. Trevor has been the only stable and permanent thing in my life, and I am very grateful for him.

'What did I do this time or is this now a way to lose steam' I think to myself

"Thank God today is a Saturday" I sigh, "Thank God my skin heals fast" I whisper scream as I slump on the bed.

"Ouch!" I scream as the pain stung almost everywhere, making it almost impossible to lie down.

Taylor's POV

"The hell is going on there this night" I say to myself as I hear Ken's scream. I totally understood what's happening to her cos I go through almost the same, though not as much violence, but I think even more aloneness or same.

I pace round my room as I patiently wait for a few minutes before calling her number, and as to why I call her Ken, she is as tough as a guy, acts like a guy, dresses like one, so why not, though she can be a hot AF girl when she wants, she's just amazing and I love her so much and will stop at nothing to protect her, just as she would do the same.

'I think it's about time I call her' I say to myself.
