4 Hatsu

As Hina carried me back to the orphanage my mind was filled with Hatsu ideas. Of course Hatsu isn't all there is to Nen, but it was the thing I was most excited about. With my 100% affinity in all categories and my massive amount of aura there practically was no limit to the abilities I can create. Even with all these options for abilities to create I already had a good idea of one Hatsu I absolutely have to create.

Hatsu that generate more aura for the user are absolutely busted. Even with my already massive aura reserves, it can't hurt to have more. Plus I can create a Hatsu that generates more aura on top of doing other things too, but I will probably have to add some annoying restrictions to make it even feasible despite my aura reserves.

I was so caught up in my thought that I didn't even notice when we reached our destination. I was jolted out of my trance when Hina burst through the doors and announces to everyone present that I had awoken my quirk. I saw a few looks of jealousy from some of the other children, but overall the reception was quite positive. The caretakers were especially happy and all congratulated me.

Everyone was so focused on me that nobody seemed to notice that Hina was soaking wet. I still felt slightly bad that I had accidentally caused her to fall into the pond upon opening my aura nodes. As she ran upstairs to get changed the other caretakers started to prepare the celebration that we would have at lunch. There were already going to throw me a birthday party, but now that I had awakened my "quirk" too everybody was more excited.

Most of the other kids pestered me, trying to get me to show off my abilities. Luckily before I could respond one of the caretakers told everyone that I was forbidden to do anything until the doctor told them that I wouldn't harm anyone by accident. I'm sure that they didn't want me to accidentally release mustard gas or blow to orphanage up. I idly wondered how many deaths were caused by children who used their quirks before they knew what they are.

I would have liked to start training and work on mastering the basic invocations of nen already, but the caretakers were probably used to children trying to use their powers before going to the doctor so there was always at least one caretaker watching me carefully. They probably also wanted to see if my quirk had caused some sort of mental shift in me as well. Luckily, the previous owner of this body had a similar personality to me, minus the mental maturity, so nobody would suspect a thing. I just sighed and waited for the doctor to clear me to use my abilities so I could start training already.

Fortunately, the afternoon went by pretty quickly and my doctors appointment arrived quickly. Despite being mentally older than all of the other children I still enjoyed myself somewhat during the party. I did have to deal with some annoying children, but most of them were too preoccupied with cake and ice cream to bother me too much. I was just opening some small gifts I had received from the caretakers when I was called to come out to the car and drive to the doctor's office.

For once in my two lives, I was actually excited to go to visit a doctor. Not that I don't like doctors, but visiting the doctor isn't like going to Six Flags or anything. However, this time it felt exactly like going to Six Flags. I was practically vibrating with excitement as we sped down the road toward the closest doctor's office. Soon I would be able to start practicing and finally begin down the road of becoming a Nen master.

As we drove I looked out at the buildings as we sped past. Nothing caught my attention until we stopped at a red light and as we waited I looked out the window and saw a bank. As soon as I laid eyes on the bank I had a eureka moment and felt my aura react as well. It took me a moment to realize what was going on, but it seemed that I had already begun subconsciously crafting my Hatsu.

As we continued our drive I was no longer focused on what was going on outside the car. I looked inward and saw the beginnings of my first Hatsu. Once I found it I immediately began to craft it and shape it into a form I was happy with. It took me the rest of the car ride, but by the end, I had my first fully realized Hatsu. I knew that this was only possible due to my 100% affinity as a specialist. As I rose from the seat and exited the car at the doctor's office I mentally inspected my Hatsu one last time.

Hatsu - Bank

Description - The user conjures a golden key and inserts it into an open space in front of them. Then they are able to deposit aura or other Hatsu in "the bank". All aura and Hatsu in the bank then accrue interest over time. This causes stored Hatsu to become stronger and stored aura to increase in quantity.

Conditions - The key must be inserted into the open air. Whatever is being deposited or withdrawn must be verbally announced. A maximum of 3 Hatsu can be stored at once. Only one store of aura can gain interest, other amounts of aura can be stored, but can't gain interest.

I smiled as I inspected the Hatsu. This was only the initial version of the Hatsu, over time as I gained more aura I planned to upgrade it and make it even more powerful, but that would have to wait. For now, I had to go find out what my "quirk" is and get cleared to start training with it.
