32 Mike's traumatizing luck

Mike led Park into the bathroom and locked the door behind them.

He turned to Park and proposed a game, "Let's play a game, shall we? It's called Truth or Dare. If you win, I'll let you go. If I win, you answer my three questions. Let's flip a coin to decide!"

Mike offered a mischievous glint in his eyes. "But if you don't cooperate, I'll hold your head underwater for 5 seconds, and if you lose, I'll add another 5 seconds. Deal?"

Park listened attentively, a flicker of hope igniting within him.

The prospect of being set free intrigued him.

Park readily agreed, believing this game would work in his favor.

He couldn't fathom losing to Mike multiple times, thinking that with over a dozen chances, he could surely win once and secure his release.

Mike pulled out a coin and held it up, his expression masking his satisfaction. "Let's guess heads or tails!"

With a kind smile, Mike looked at Park, feeling a sense of pride within himself.

He relished the thought of teaching Park a lesson through this game.

Park eyed the coin and confidently declared, "Tails!"

Casually tossing the coin into the air, Mike watched it spin before catching it firmly in his hand.

It landed on heads.

"What a coincidence, you lost. Now choose: 5 seconds in the water or answer my question," Mike stated.

Parker made a decisive choice. "Five seconds in the water."

Without hesitation, Mike submerged Park's head in the water, apologizing, "Sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm not great at counting. Please bear with me!"

As Park struggled violently, Mike began counting aloud.

"One, two, three, four, five."

Park showed a mix of relief and smugness, thinking that Mike had intentionally made things difficult.

Little did he expect that Mike had genuinely made a counting mistake.

Mike reassured Park, saying, "See, I did it within 5 seconds. Don't be nervous!"

He patted Park on the shoulder and picked up the coin again. "Heads or tails?"

"Heads!" Parker exclaimed like an eager gambler.

Mike flicked the coin into the air, and when it landed, it revealed tails.

Mike smiled and remarked, "Looks like luck isn't on your side!"

"Choose! If you want to spend 10 seconds in the water or answer my question," Mike offered.

"I choose the water," Park responded firmly.

Leaking any information could endanger his life, so he chose to endure the water.

As soon as Park finished speaking, Mike pressed Parker's head back into the water.

With a firm grip on his neck, Park struggled in vain against Mike's strength, even swallowing a few mouthfuls of water in the process.

Mike resumed counting, "One, two, three, four, five, twenty."

When Park emerged from the water, he was panting heavily, coughing uncomfortably, his face flushed from coughing fits.

Park roared, "Again! It's tails."

His eyes had turned red, resembling that of a desperate gambler.

Park couldn't believe he had lost for the fourth time.

The situation felt unbearable.

Still, he maintained a semblance of a smile, hoping he would be released soon.

Mike smiled mischievously and continued, "Then let's start again."

"No, I'll do it," Park interjected, snatching the coin from Mike's hand and opening his palm.

A shattered look crossed Park's face. It turned out he had suspected Mike of cheating, and he wanted to test it for himself.

The result remained the same—heads.

"I won again. Now you choose," Mike declared.

Park's head was spinning, but he gritted his teeth and said weakly, "In the water."

Without hesitation, Mike reached for Park's neck and forced him back into the sink.

"One, two, three, four, five, twenty-five, twenty-four, twenty-three, ten, eleven, twelve, twenty."

Park fought desperately behind Mike, but his struggles were futile against Mike's unyielding grip.

He emerged from the water gasping for air, his face flushed and eyes bloodshot from the ordeal.

After a brief rest, Park weakly uttered, "It's still tails."

Mike flicked the coin and, once again, it landed on heads.

When Mike exited the bathroom, Park had already confessed everything, concealing nothing.

He wore a hollow and defeated expression.

After all, who wouldn't go mad playing a game of heads or tails with Mike?

They had played 23 games, and Park had lost every single one of them.

Mike had won 23 games in a frenzied manner, a streak that left Park completely shattered.

The score stood at an astonishing 23-0 in favor of Mike.

Park had revealed nearly all his secrets, succumbing to the relentless pressure.

The experience had dealt a severe blow to his spirit.

As Park stumbled out of the room, muttering incomprehensible words, Brian observed the relaxed Mike on the sofa and then glanced at Parker.

Despite the pale complexion, dazed expression, and reddened face with bloodshot eyes, Park appeared physically unharmed.

Brian breathed a sigh of relief, realizing that the situation hadn't spiraled into trouble.

After all, the police didn't condone torture for extracting confessions.

Brian asked Mike, "Did Park confess?"

"He spilled everything," Mike replied, a smile playing on his lips.

Mike then updated Brian, saying, "The vultures under Braga are helping select drivers, and Letty is one of them. Currently, there are four drivers. The drug transportation activities will commence the day after tomorrow."

Mike realized that breaking into the group wouldn't be easy since they had a full roster of drivers.

He speculated that in the original plot, Letty's supposed death prompted Dom and Brian to go undercover in the next phase.

Now, they needed to find another way to infiltrate the operation.

Perhaps seeking help from Gisele was the solution.

She had proven her loyalty and had a less prominent profile.

If they could gain her assistance, they might obtain crucial information and rescue Letty while gathering evidence against Braga.

So, Mike asked Brian, "Do you know if there are any races happening around here?"

"What are you looking for?" Brian asks with confusion.

"Finding someone.", Mike proclaims.
