1 So it begins

'Keep calm and write something, it's not hard, it's only a letter to the CEO of the company you're hoping to join, no pressure.'

The sound of writing could be heard in the apartment of Hanna Shulz, an aspiring coder and game developer that's hoping to make it big by being hired by a big-time video game company.

"Alright, it's done. Hopefully this'll land me that job. I don't care if I'm the only female on the dev team, all I'm aiming for is to make a living, sleep be damned!" she exclaimed to no one in particular.

'Hopefully that gacha program I coded helped me, I spent years on that, all of 6 years out of my 24 years old life. Apparently, it's been a big hit on app stores, probably because it's not pay-to-win and just for fun, though I guess I do make money from it, but most of that goes towards helping less fortunate people learn coding and programming. Still, I'm surprised that it's held on to its 5-star rating for 2 years with over 40,000 reviews.'

Making a bowl of chicken lo mein for lunch, Hanna ate in silence, contemplating what she'd do if she landed the job.

After eating, she puts on her coat, and walks out to the post box, where she sees an older gentleman standing, seemingly unaware of everything around him.

'Hmm, designer windbreaker, dress pants, business shoes, leather gloves, and an expensive looking fedora, he must be well off, but why's he standing near-'

Her thought was cut short when the man asked in a soothing baritone-like voice "Are you Hanna Shulz by chance?" Startled, Hanna was about to say yes when the man cryptically says "Ah, no worries, I know who you are, and before you ask, who I am doesn't matter at all. I have to say, all the good you've done in your life, and no one seems to appreciate you. Did you know that your game, which you call your "insignificant project", helped prevent 43 suicides, and the money you donated from it helped 5 kids begin their future path to success? I've seen their futures, and they'll all become billionaires, and one of them even invents the cure for cancer, saving countless lives. You're a good person Hanna, too good for this world."

Scared and a little skeptical, Hanna furrowed her eyebrows and asked "How do you know this stuff, and why should I believe you? That sounds nice and all, but it's just too unbelievable. Are you feeling alright sir?"

The man chuckled a bit, and still without turning around, stated, "Miss Hanna, I'm here to make sure you don't suffer a cruel death, one unfitting for your past, current, and future accomplishments, thus, I'm making yours a bit quicker. I'm sorry it had to turn out this way, but even I can't change the order of things, as that's above my authority, but I know that if you look deep into your heart, which will soon be all over the street, you'll find it in you to forgive me."

Genuinely scared now, Hanna looked down and grabbed her pepper spray from her pants pocket. When she brought the pepper spray up, the man was gone without a trace. Dumbfounded, Hanna only snapped back to attention when she heard the sound of a truck horn and saw two bright lights headed right for her.

"WHAT THE FU-!"

*CRASH*

*splat*

--------

'Ugh, did I really die from Truck-kun? You've gotta be kidding me...'

"I'm afraid you're not being kidded right now Miss Hanna; you truly did die."

Once she heard the familiar voice, Hanna's eyes snapped open as she bolted upright. When she saw the man who sat on the opposite end of a table near the bed which she was laying on, Hanna was about to rip the man a new one, when he suddenly raised his hand in a "stop" motion and said with a solemn look "Before you get angry with me, let me show you what your original death would be, as that might explain a lot about why I had you die like you did."

Snapping his fingers, a holographic screen pops up out of nowhere and begins to show Hanna how she would've died. She sees herself walking in to meet the CEO because she was hired, when all of a sudden, gunshots ring out a few meters away from her. She takes a bullet to both legs and falls to the ground as no one stops to help her up. A minute later, a disgruntled looking man with a handgun sees and walks over to her, and drags her to an empty room, where the screen then shows him shooting both of her arms and gagging her with a piece of her shirt which he rips off. As the screen zooms in, it shows her what was about to be a not family friendly scene when Hanna just shouts through tears "STOP! I've seen enough!" The man quickly snaps his fingers and the screen disappears. Through muffled crying, Hanna asks "Why? Why would that happen to me?! What did I ever do to deserve an ending like that?! I don't understand!"

With the solemn look still on his face, the man tiredly sighs and says "See what I mean? I meant it when I said you'd meet an end that was unfitting for someone like you. The god that was previously in charge of death went rogue and skewed the natural order of death itself so that the karmic endings of beings across the multiverse were flipped, where saints died a horrible death, and the most vile beings died peacefully and in the comfort of people they cared about. The god was eventually put down, but the damage had already been done. You happened to have THE worst death out of the many karmic deaths that were flipped, meaning your positive karma was through the roof."

Wiping away her tears, Hanna looked at the man right in the eyes, took a deep breath, and asked "Who are you, really?"

Giving a small smile, the man replied "My name is Messorem, and I'm in charge of carrying out your reincarnation."

Widening her eyes, Hanna asked "I.. get to be reincarnated? Like in the novels I used to read? I get to be put into a fictional world with powers and a system?!" Giving off a small smile, Messorem simply said "Careful what you call fictional, as about 99% of all the anime, manga's, and novels you've read and watched actually exist in the multiverse. The universe that you reside in right now isn't governed by Fate Weavers, and is instead governed by a high pantheon, which rule over this multiverse. They are beings that can travel between multiverses for official business. Before you ask, Fate Weavers are beings who write works which are then created into reality. The gods and goddesses over there have their.. quirks, and if you ever become powerful enough to travel there, be careful of a certain red headed goddess of fate, as she'll mess with you to no end, and don't antagonize her pantheon, as they're extremely powerful and will not hesitate to mess with you to amuse themselves. That being said, you're a long ways away from being able to do that, so just enjoy your reincarnation and have fun."

Wondering who the goddess of fate is over there, Hanna quickly got rid of the thought and proceeded to ask questions that've been popping up in her head regarding her situation. "So for my system, can I have it be a gacha one, and have it be sentient and able to evolve with me as I grow stronger? As for the world I start on, can you just assign me one of your choosing, but nothing too hard at first please."

Nodding his head, Messorem smiles and says "Of course. The power I've been allotted will allow me to to fulfill all of your desires. As a bonus, I'll even make you functionally immortal, meaning you won't die of natural causes and will only die if you are killed by an outside force, and I'll also make you completely immune to status effects, like mind control, poison, toxins, parasites, anymore, though you'll still be able to feel tired and exhausted, so be careful. Is there anything else you'd like? Oh and before I forget, you'll have to have a new name and body, but I'll make sure to pick something good out for you fitting your preferences."

Pondering for a moment, Hanna decides to throw in something she's been wanting for a while in her former life. "Is it possible for me to be able to learn new things and adapt extremely easily? I've always struggled with that. That's my only other wish." Raising his left eyebrow, Messorem nods his head, "Interesting, but sure, it'll be done. Now then, you'll be sent to a space in just a bit where your system will be activated, and since yours is a gacha system, which I find very appropriate, you'll have 24 hours to get used to your new body and roll your gacha option of your system. Keep in mind that you'll also be leveling up, and along with stat points, your gacha pulls are counted as 100 per level, plus you start out with 100 pulls per 1 karmic value you have, which if I read correctly, numbers at exactly 689,999,990,000 pulls. Since you'll be starting at level 100 because I can do that, you'll have exactly 690,000,000,000 pulls, heh. Anyways, I think it's time to send you on your way, as I've talked more than I probably should have."

With her mind going numb from the amount of pulls she has available, Hanna manages to thank Messorem before being put to what seemed to be asleep for a moment.

When she woke up, she found herself in a weird floating cube-ish area with stars and galaxies all around her. Remembering what happened, Hanna looks around excitedly and sees a mirror and rushes over to see what she now looks like, and what she sees is nothing less than breathtaking. She sees that she is 153 cm tall with a lithe yet toned figure that has a nice pair of B-cups, beautiful and impossibly smooth, soft, yet strong milky white skin, long, snow white hair that's softer than satin and silk that goes down to the middle of her back, a pair of fluffy looking cat ears, a tail that is connected to her body right under the bottom of her spine, a sharp looking face, perfectly trimmed eyebrows, perfect length eyelashes, and a perfectly sized mouth with all of her teeth being almost blindingly white while her 4 canines are about 7 mm longer than the rest of her teeth. The most stunning part about her looks though were her eyes.

The left eye was completely void of an iris and pupil, and instead the entire eye looked just like the endless expanse of the universe, complete with stars, galaxies, and nebulas, and every time she moved it seemed like the stars and everything shifted. Her right eye looked somewhat normal except her sclera looked like shining silver that glittered whenever she moved, and what would've been her iris and pupil was instead a beautiful golden clock face that was complete with an hour, minute, and second hands, and tick marks at the points where the roman numerals for 1-12 were displayed at the proper positions.

Finally noticing that she was nude, Hanna blushed slightly and found a neatly folded stack of clothes next to the mirror. The clothes, which consisted of a pair of opaque, black safety shorts, sports bra, and black socks, a pair of tight black tactical pants with white outlines, a form fitting black T-shirt with white outlines, black combat boots with a white cat's paw on both sides of said boots, and a black dove tailed tactical coat with white outlines. Putting them on, Hanna looks at herself in the mirror before nodding to herself and says "Status!" Appearing before her was a translucent screen that looked a lot like one you'd find in a video game:

'Huh, well that's cool. Supposedly my system is sentient, so... hello?'

{Greetings Host! I'm here for ya, what 'cha need?}

Her system's voice sounded a lot like a certain emergency food from a popular game back in her former life, except a lot more lively. 'Why hello there. Say, do you mind if I just give you the name Systi? Calling you system just doesn't feel right.'

{Sure! From now on, my name will be Systi! Before too long, I suggest you pull the gacha a few times, just to give you some time to look through the items you pull! By the way, I have no control over what you get, I just manage things!}

Smiling, Hanna, now Myr, nods her head. 'Alright Systi, use up 5,000,000,000 pulls, and that'll be enough for now, and sort them by current usefulness from top to bottom.'

{5,000,000,000? Okay, will do! Keep in mind that after this huge pull, you'll only be able to pull up to 1,000 every time you do so. Here we go!}

A holographic image of a very nice looking gachapon machine appears and the lever gets pulled down with a thunk, and then when it suddenly stops, it starts to smoke and shake violently.

"Uh, I don't think that's go-"

*KRRRSSSSSS*

The entire holographic gachapon machine then shatters and collapses. Upon the destruction of the machine, a white flag with an image of a middle finger being held up is raised from the rubble just before the holographic machine flashes out of existence.

'...'

{…}

'SOOO.. I don't think it was happy with me..'

{… You think..? You broke it.. that shouldn't be possible..}

'Well, I guess I'll just take a look at what I got.. what in the world... cultivation pills, skill pills.. is that an AT-4?! What the fuck?! Why'd it give me a rubber chicken..? A complete collection of Victoria's Secret underwear that somehow is my size, 3 McDouble meals that are piping hot, uhh, what the..'

Seeing a peculiar item, Myr taps on it and when it pops out in front of her, the entirety of her back and forehead break out in cold sweat.

"Systi! Why'd it give me this?! WHAT THE FUCK!"

{Oh cool! That's a B83 thermonuclear bomb! That little package taped on the side is a remote detonator, ooh, and it's also modified to output 20 megatons of force! Better keep that safe!}

Myr quickly stows away the bomb before collapsing onto the ground, her heart racing a thousand meters a second. 'This gacha system is seriously way too OP.. wow..

Steadying her breathing, Myr takes out all of the skill, leveling, and cultivation pills, scrolls, tomes, and fruit, and lays them all out in front of her in organized piles. "Hey Systi, can you make it so I can just absorb and use these items in front of me through touch? Even better if you'd be able to just transfer the knowledge and benefits of these things to me all at once."

{Okie dokie! Keep in mind that even though you can process information and knowledge several billion times faster than the strongest quantum computer, that this'll strain your mind a bit, because I see some pretty gnarly skills and cultivation techniques in there, some of them are considered ancient and thought to be lost forever.}

"Understood. Let's do it Systi!" Myr braces herself as a tidal wave of information rushed into her mind, giving her a slight headache. After a few minutes, everything returns to normal, and, feeling that her 24 hours is almost up, she prepares to depart onto her new life.

All of a sudden, a bright white flash temporarily blinds her, and when it fades, she finds herself in a familiar place, and one that she was hoping that she'd be put into even in her past life.

"Is this Orario?"
