That's some bulls*it right there, They make it looks easy on paper, but on the field, this sh*t is impossible to do.

Do I have to be a devil to get magic? I mean I know there is a human mage out there in the world but only a few are strong enough to defeat a dragon.

I know that humans can use devil power in exchange for their magical power, there are plenty of power sources to choose from but mana is flexible and is the basis of sorcery.

The downside is you have to calculate how to utilize your mana to manifest a spell, not like devil magic that you can willy nally cast with your *imagination*, that's why Issei can make a dress break dress... I don't why he is so infatuated with boobs and makes that stupid spell with his sheer f*king will to see boobs.

As I kept thinking about how I could feel mana in my surroundings, an idea came to my mind, what if I needed to understand the concept of mana and feel it that way?

Mana comes from the earth itself, the earth produces mana just like trees produce oxygen, it's everywhere in nature and ready to get harnessed by a living being.

I take a deep breath and close my eyes again, I relax my body and keep my breathing regulated, as I focus on my surroundings, I feel something trying to reach my mind.

My surroundings suddenly feel cold and I shudder because something tries to envelop me with an unknown energy, the thing keeps tugging my head, asking me to open my mind.

Don't have any other choice I surrender my mind and let it in, a shooting voice comes to my mind.

???: "Περίεργος, ποιος;, ανθρώπινο παιδί;"

It doesn't have any emotions behind its voice, it sounds like an AI trying to imitate someone talking.

???: "Γιατί, με πήρε τηλέφωνο, εδώ;"

I don't understand what it trying to say because it uses a different language than I know, but I can feel what it trying to convey to me.

???: "Περίεργο, άγνωστο, διαφορετικό μέρος, παράξενο ανθρώπινο παιδί."

I try to talk to it but I can't move my body or my mouth, I then try to give it understanding with my mind that I want to know who is it.

???: "Γη, εδώ να ακούσεις, ανθρωπάκι"

Did it say Earth? F*ck why the hell is the planet itself trying to talk to me ?, I keep my composure checked, and I replay that I want to use the mana and want to harness the power.

???: "Ρωτήστε, ύποπτο, ανθρώπινο παιδί δεν μπορεί να τον εμπιστευτεί"

I feel the earth not trusting me, and asking why I need to harness the power, I say that I need it to protect myself and what I hold dear from this f*ck up world, I say that human is weak and stand no chance with the supernatural.

I say that the world is unbalanced and on the brink of destruction because an unknown calamity is coming to destroy it, I tell it that I know someone else will take care of it but I as a bystander won't live in peace if the world is always in conflict.

I only wish to get stronger to avoid all of it and live a quiet life, I know that it's selfish of me to ask like this but I don't have any choices, I don't want to be a devil because I want to keep my humanity in me, I don't want to die meaningless death because some old dude died in a war and his creation make a mess that I'm not part of.

I chuckle to myself at how crazy I am talking to the planet itself and demanding something, but suddenly it spoke again and shocked me to the core

???: " Understanding, chosen, champion, be strong, always watching, wish, Balance"

all of my body feels hot and something gets into my chest, suddenly I scream because of the sudden burning pain, and my body feels like getting reconstructed, I can feel it trying to make something inside of me.

My body drops from exhaustion and my eyes are slowly closing, the last thing I see is a glowing panel with text.

Not understanding what happened, I closed my eyes and lay on the floor with full of sweat.
