9 chapter 8 changing the story

we made our way to irina's house and knocked on the door. i heard foot steps and the door opened "hello we've been expecting you" and older women said as she opens the door, it was irina's mum "we just made dinner come and sit" we made our way inside to the dining room where we were greeted by irina's dad and irina herself but she looked a different.

"yo irina what's with the new look, you look like a girl" i said when i saw her

"i am a girl" she said angrily "i told you i'd show you i saw a girl"

"well it suits you, you look great" i said while patting her shoulder to which she blushed and slapped my hand off her shoulder.

"i know that i don't need to hear it from you, hmph" she replied back 'damn you're so charming aren't you sosuke, i need to keep my charm under control' i said to myself rubbing my chin and nodding with a smug look on my face

"well what's the occasion, you dressed up so nicely. i assume this isn't just to impress me" i said in response . irina's face calmed down a bit but became sad after that comment.

"well my dad said he wants to tell everyone after dinner about what's going on" she replied

the parents who were in the middle of their conversation stopped to look over and could only smile as they watched the kids antics. we all sat down for dinner and talk about normal stuff until irina's dad spoke up and said " *ahem* we have something to tell you guys, because of my work we'll be moving and leaving japan"

"what!?, is that true, when are you leaving" my mum said with some sadness in her voice. she finally got to reunite with her childhood friend but it turns out it was only for a few short months so she couldn't help but feel a little sad.

my dad and i just stayed quite because we both new that there was nothing that could be done about it.

"yes it's true we're going to be leaving and we don't know for how long maybe but it going to be at the minimum for 5 years maybe longer, who knows?" irina's mum said to mine

i looked over to irina who also had a sad loon on her face 'i guess that explains why she got dressed up but i knew that this was going to happen so i made something that should help her get stronger in the future'.

after the announcement the adults started to drink alcohol and ended up pretty drunk. i went to grab a drink but was stopped by dad and he said and i quote "you can have one these when you have your first time then you'll be a real man".

that comment annoyed because it came from that man who basically a bum at this point after coming into money, even though it was true it still pissed me off.

after a while it was getting late so it was decided that we would stay the night and that i was going to sleep on the spare futon in irina's room. I decided that we should make our way upstairs a little early because i didn't want to hear my parents cry to irina's not leave and to hear them cry back about not wanting to leave.

when we went up stairs we played video games and talked about random things until it got late. as we were about to go to bed i said to irina "hey irina since you are moving away i thought now would be the perfect time for me to give this to you"

"what is it?" she was excited and curious

"it's a present for you" i replied

i took out a pendant and gave it to her, it was a thin silver chain with a few small gems at the front.i made this pendant in advance because i knew she was leaving soon i just didn't know the exact date. i made this pendant combining all the knowledge i gained. it has three functions one is to monitor her surroundings because and send it back to because maybe i could get some useful information from the church. the other function it has is to strengthen and grow irina's soul which would help her get stronger in the future. the last feature would take damage for an attack that would instantly kill her.

"just think of it as a lucky charm, it will help you in the future" i said to her as i gave the box

she couldn't help but smile "wow it's looks cool, can i wear it now?" she said as she took the pendant out of the box and held it up to look at it.

"yeah sure, it's yours now anyway. turn around so i can put it on" i said. i could see her blushing a little as i wrapped the necklace around her neck and clipped it on. "don't worry no matter where you are or where you go you'll always be my little brother".

as soon as i said this her smile disappeared, she became angry and thought 'this idiot called me his little brother not even his little sister. when we've been hanging out the whole week he's never treated as a girl no matter what i do, he still doesn't see me as a girl even after the way i dressed up today. just wait i'll show you, i'll become the best looking girl you won't be able to look away from' she made her resolve with a glint of crazy in her eyes

i saw something was up 'i said little brother on purpose to piss her off but it got a different reaction' i thought "huh? what's wrong? did something happen"

"no, nothing happened i'm just going to prove you wrong hehe, anyway goodnight!" she said in a somewhat different voice as she jumped into her bed and went sleep

'well that was weird anyway i have the pendant because irina's is going to get involved in the supernatural world in the future no matter what but that isn't the same for issei. alright it's decided i'll find a safe way to remove the sacred gear from him and keep it for study materials and maybe give to someone else in the future, probably someone who will be loyal to me. so now issei can live a normal and safe life. even though i haven't known him for long i did start to think of him as younger brother so o wouldn't want him getting involved in the dangers of the supernatural world'. after that i went to bed aswell after planning a few things out in my head.

the morning came around and we said out goodbyes and went back home. during this week i've been hanging out with irina's until she left and noticed her strange behaviour but nothing to put of the ordinary. i enjoyed my time until she left and life went on like usual.
