Don't Laugh

"Big sis"

My aunt calls out my mother Big sis, because my mom is the eldest among her siblings.

"Julie,"

My mom calls out to her addressing her by her nickname and, embraced each other like they have never meet for a long time. so dramatic. such teenager behavior. its so clingy that I grit my teeth and squint my eyes so much I become like an opera masks. or a Joker from Batman. minus the craziness of course

"So, what's new," my mom asked her.

"Nothing new. Big sis," my aunt replied

"Is that so,"

"But still. Please join us for breakfast."

"Go on, ahead. We just ate in a nearby fastfood," my aunt declined my mom's offer

"No. Sit. Sit. There is more than enough for us all,"

"Thank you. Big sis, we are still full," my aunt replied shaking her head at the table filled with food cooked by my mom.

"No, I insist you eat again because your commute here must've drained you out," she said, convincing my aunt Julle. My mom called us out.

"Ning. Ling. Would you please get the breakfast dishes to the table,"

Ordering us both to get the cleanplates, utencils, cups from the dishdrainer, dishes and rice from the rice cooker.

Me and Luna aren't good at socializing cause we are both introverts and we aren't that good at conversing with others. Plus, we are too bad at it that we will be laughed at.

I laid all the plates, utencils and cups. While my sister Luna fetched the dishes and rice.

Luna poked me in the shoulder.

"Big sis, Let's watch Never Play Me For A Fool on Netflix," she whispered.

"Later, let's eat first. I'm so hungry," I answered her as I rubbed my growling stomach.

"Big sis Starr. Luna. Let's eat," Cat said inviting us.

We both sat down and ate breakfast in the dining area with mom, papa and tita Julle.

Me and Cat were brushing our teeth in my room's bathroom that was downstairs.

And Luna brushed on her bathroom upstairs.

I can hear it again. The tv on the living room.

There, they go again. I can hear the drama of One Last Love. I gargled and spit on the sink. I was on my way to Luna's room to watch Netflix with them. When I caught a glimpse of the man on the sçreen. I was the one never names and not the faces and vice versa but he felt familiar some how

Wait.

I halted and went back to watch the tv in the living room.

It is him. The guy in my dream.

I sat on the sofa. I joined them in watching.

"Who's that," I asked my mom that was right next to me on the sofa.

"Ah, that's Montrelle Kieran Ide Bituin." She answered me with a spark in her eyes like a giddy teenage fangirl

Huh? My eyebrows furrowed and I scwinted my eyes to focus on my attention to the leading man.

He was handsome. Mixed-race. A singer. A gituarist. Rapper. Toned body and abs.

The required qualities of every actor/actress. He came from a famous and recognized family that is also known internationally.

"What's taking her so long, big sis Ling"

Cat complained

"I have no clue," Ning replied to her while backreading her newsfeed on Facebook.

"Let's go check on her," Cat paused the tv and dragged Luna to the stairs.

My eyes were engrossed with the scene. It was a drama of him and his abusive father that left them.

"YOU WERE NEVER THERE FOR US," he shouted at his father that was returning to his son for money. His eyes red and teary. A tear fell from my cheek from his dramatic acting. Eventhough I can't relate to it.

*Punch*

His father's closed fist landed on his cheek that made his cheek red. But it was so fast that I didn't know if he actually punched him directly. Cause there is a thing called 'Angling' where the actors cut the scene and add sound effects to fill it in. To imitate the actual thing. Cause physical injury to an body can cause the production a lot of trouble.

"Ungrateful child, who do you think you are, to talk to me like that," infuriated the father raised his voice.

'Wow'

It's fake. I remind myself. They are just good at their job. I was so amazed at how the makeup artist produce such realistic bruise on his face.

I was filled with emotion. My eyes red and tears that dried on my face. I didn't pay attention to it. Even, my mom and aunt were crying.

Luna and Cat were watching me by the stairs, laughing at me. They teased and copied my tears by dripping drops of water on their eyes to imitate us crying. Bunch of brats.

I took a stand. I turn to my mom to see if she noticed me.

They were so serious on what they were watching that they didn't pay me any attention.

"Ha, you're both~dead now" I spoke playfully in a low voice.

I raced them to the second floor and reached them to Luna's room.

I tickled them. They both rolled side to side in Luna's small bed. Cat accidentally kicked Luna out of the bed. She fell down the ground. Still laughing her ass off.

"You're big sis Ling, is broken, Cat"

I sarcastically said. We all cracked out laughing.

"You were taking so long. And, we got impatient," Luna said back to me.

"What were you watching anyway, Big sis Ning,"

"One Last Love," Luna assumed.

I nodded.

"I didn't know you are into tear-jerking dramas, big sis Ning," Cat implied.

I shrugged at the remark of Cat.

Truth be told. I have no specific preference' when it comes to the films I watch. Like really. I don't. If you asked me my favorite out of all of them. I won't be able to choose one.
